Just a heads up that this just hit the market recently. I grabbed a couple of boxes today out of curiousity at a local Bass Pro Shop. Here's a gel shoot I found:

All ready have it - LOL!
One of the six SD rounds I'm testing with my "new to me" S&W 640-1.

I actually just picked up some yesterday to give to my dad as a Xmas present. Looks like a nice round.

I wish Federal would come out with an HST round in .357mag. Maybe a nice warm 135gr. I can dream can't I.

+1. It's like the good stuff is just in autos.
At least Speer still has GDHP in regular and Short Barrel.
Looks like the Double Tap Bonded Defense 357 has a Gold Dot bullet too.

Considering how well the RA38B (PDX1) 130gr .38 +P seems to do in barrier/gel testing, fired out of a short snub, I'd hope the factory tweaked the .357 revolver bullet to offer good performance across the velocity window typically realized in 2-6" guns.

There's always room for another good revolver Magnum load. ;)

The HP cavity is actually larger in diameter and deeper than I thought it would be. Should help to promote reliable expansion.

I have Winchester Ranger Bonded HP 180 gr 40
and Winchester Ranger T-Series HP 165 gr 40
for my G27.

The PDX1 Defender Bonded HP 357 mag visually looks very much like a cross between the two.
