I've been purchasing in bulk from Precision Delta and been very pleased with their service & product. I've been having some failure to feed issues & was wondering if anyone is producing a tip that would be more conical to aid feeding in my 10mm?

The Montana Gold 180 gn JHP is the most round nose bullet I have found in the 40.

What is your C.O.L.?
What is the diameter of the brass at the case mouth after you crimp?
What powder are you using? How many grains?

What gun are you using?

That's why I'm sort of focusing on his reloads.

COL: I ran everything between 1.245 - 1.260 with failures all mixed.
Diameter was in spec at case mouth
Power Pistol 8.2 - 8.5
I also had a few failures with New Canned Heat from Georgia Arms
Tanfoglio Witness Limited ( custom shop & very tight tolerance ).
My ammo was personally inspected by an experienced reloader & found to be spot on.
My G20 has no issues.

I also use the 'Canned Heat ' from Georgia. Arms in my. 40 G27 with no issues.
Went through about 700 out of 1000 already and no ftf or fte.

If your running a custom gun that's tight, I can see some reloads not making it in the tube.

although time consuming, pull the bbl out and drop test 100+ rounds in it.
if you find any that don't drop, pull out the calipers.

If you go through a couple hundred and they all drop in just fine, its prolly sumf'n related to the magazine/feedramp/OAL combination.

The Witness is riddled with feeding issues related to the piss poor mags. I have two witness pistols and several mags, all need to be fine tuned which is a pain in the ass.
Check out some of the EAA/CZ Clone forums for solutions and the new and improved mags from Mec-Gar.

Both of my mags are the new Mec-Gar K-10 mags!

I've had pretty good luck with Golden Sabers feeding in my fussier guns. It might be worth trying those if you want to shoot hollowpoints.

FWIW Rainier makes a RN/FP bullet in addition to their more standard FP.
