I'm undecided between Daniel Defense lite rail & the Larue Tactical. This is going to be on a 18" .308 Fulton Amory Upper.
Please chime in if you have any experience with either or both. I want this to be as lite as possible.

Both are outstanding rails,......between the two I prefer Larue

I went with the DD lite rail on light profile upper from Fulton. Nice 12+ rail 18oz. Put on SI Defense lower the rifle weighs about the same as my heavy barrel 16" dpms 308. I like the gun but will eventually pick up a 7.62 Larue Predatar--really should have to begin with for a lighter weight 18" 308.

I actually prefer the DD rail, since you can have an uninterrupted top rail. LaRue rails are top notch, though - I just wish they didnt leave a gap in the top rail.

I have little experience with the DD Lite rail but I love my Larue Stealth rails. I have them on two rifles and yes, a continuous top rail would be nice, but I have never had a problem with the gap and I really like Larue's mounting design.

I don't think you would be disappointed with either, Larue is just my brand for optic mounts, index clips, lowers, gas blocks, etc. so I figured why not use their rails too?

The LaRue is far stronger, but the DD is not bad either. For lighter weight.....probably the DD.

I contacted Larue about their rail & was told their rails are not DPMS .308 comparable. I guess it's DD for this setup.
