Had a really good time. Got to shoot to about 400 yards and do some running and gunning. The SCAR was zero'd previously with some 168gr (which actually matched the 5.56 reticle pretty well) but I was shooting 147gr milsurp ammo and it was about 6" left and 6" low at 300 yards, I couldn't really find where it was hitting at 400 which was disappointing.

The AR is a tack driver. Paper plates at 400 yards were getting boring so we moved on to soda cans.

I've got some pretty sweet videos, but I'm not to keen on putting my face out there. Anyone know how to edit out a face in a video with something as basic as window's movie maker? I don't have any expensive video editted software.

131 views and 1 reply. I can't figure out if I pissed off the Colt fanboys, the Shrubmaster fanboys or both ;)

With the Colt, you wouldn't have been off the target at all regardless of bullet weight because Colt's riflings are magical and can compensate for anything...

Euro, you're one of the people responsible for me wanting to build another SBR with a 12" barrel and a good optic. Might replace my 10.5" with a 12.5" after I get a 300 upper built.

Believe me when I say that this is the perfect setup. It really does have the distance to reach out almost as well as the 14.5" but it feels so much lighter and more maneuverable. Its an awesome awesome awesome weapon. I had a blast shooting this thing over the weekend. My 14.5" will probably never get range time again.

I have a buddy back home that's made hits on poppers at 750m with his 12.5" and an ACOG, and have met several shooters that have done it at 550 with Mk. 18s and ACOGs. People really underestimate the accuracy out of a short barrel. The biggest thing you give up with them is velocity, so you lose some terminal performance, but paper doesn't care about terminal ballistics.

I am still a low tech video guy and generally use Windows Movie Maker. However I have recently learned how to "blur" out objects with the basic Corel movie program that came with my laptop. I just googled "how to blur faces with corel" or something like that. I have recently upgraded my microphone situation to deal with windnoise, but since I don't make anything off my video's I have been hesitant to upgrade my movie making programs. However that will probably happen soon.

Surf, was this supposed to go in a different thread?lol, I am enjoying a couple cold beers, so I had to re-read the thread myself, twice. In the end of the OP's post he talks about blurring out his face so I addressed that point. I avoided the Colt thing however.

looks like fun duder!

as far as your editing question; no there is no easy way to edit your face out, and even with the most expensive software money can buy it is a very complicated process to learn.

Yeah I don't blame one bit about putting your face out on the net buddy, especially since you went shooting wearing your pajamas!:whistling:

I don't own any jeans, and all the jackets I have are far too nice and expensive to lie in the dirt with. I grabbed a sweatshirt thats like 10 years old because it was pretty chilly that morning. I think it was like 65.

You were actually who I was thinking of when I said that. Thanks for replying.

I remember watching your video of you and your teammate running 2 man drills with the faces blurred out.
