1998 model

Haven't gotten my hands on it yet, but the gunsmith just sent preview pics of my latest Colt carry piece.

Can't wait to shoot it!

I thought that you were trying to get rid of some of the guns?

Glad to see you change your mind. My Talo CCO will be coming in a couple more weeks.

I was going to sell two of the five, but I've found a way to afford keeping them.

Congrats on the CCO! Should make the BEST carry piece!

I have a Springer Compact getting tweaked,.....can't wait to get it back!

I'm having a shoulder rig made for it with a vertical bikini holster instead of horizontal like the Galco.
Should fit both the Commander and the Officers.

They're saying 6 weeks out.

I'll guess we'll see.

...My Talo CCO will be coming in a couple more weeks.

I've been carrying mine for a few months now. It's certainly not the same quality as some of my custom 1911's, but I like it a lot. It's very simple and classy, and a dream to carry.

Going retro all the way, huh?

I dig that pistol in the photo. There's nothing like a nice mirror polished stainless Colt.

That's what I like about it. Simple but highly visible sights, medium size safety lever (ONE SIDED), no weird serrations. I wish that Colt were to put out a lightweight Commander with that slide. I am not a fan of the truncated Officers .45 grip, but I bought the CCO just for the hell of it.

See? I don't even know enough to know what's "retro".:embarassed:

I just don't like muzzle sweeping everyone behind me, so I searched for a vert rig.

Not too many out there these days.

This is it...best shooting carry piece I've yet to own, the one I've been looking for all this time.

Put 200 rnds downrange with it this morning, and it's a tack driver and feels totally natural in my hands.

Lightweight alloy frame makes it easy to carry.

I would like more details on that shoulder rig. Can you pm me details and
how you went about ordering it?

I just called them, and they knew exactly what to build for a Commander/Officers model.

They also were aware that full size and officers mags were different sizes and agreed to double snap the twin mag pouches to hold both sizes.

Seem to be good folks, I guess I'll find out in a month or so.

Giggity, I'm using Virgil Tripp's Cobra mags, but I have a Wilson Combat that is a smidgen more compact.

Both the holster maker and mag maker are Texans.

Doc,

Thanks for the link to the holster joint. They have a couple of nice western rigs for automatics. I'm going to have to call them and see if they can whip one out for the new SIG P210 Legend.

Some of the purists don't think highly of it as much as the Swiss model, but the gun is well built and shoots like the devil. AND the best part is that they are fairly available and mags are cheap - cheaper than the standard SIG pistol mags.

I'm thinking one of those western rigs for the P210 on the strong side with a crossdraw holster for my Colt El Centauro.

Absolutely! El Entauro in a custom, tooled crossdraw!

Great looking CCO. Had been carrying my Defender but recently started carrying the CCO (real early model with the Dorsal fin grip safety).

Fresh off the oven for this one. UPS was a wee bit late delivering it to the gun shop. I picked it up but won't be able to blast it until mid-January 2012. Dammit!!!
