OK, I backtracked and found the source oif the info. The guy does a lot of utube video testing of 10mm. Always uses a stock G20. Found a link to one of his videos.

Kewl. I figured he might after seeing he was testing with one. There are some local rounds here, called Alabama Ammo. I did some testing into wet sand, it outpenetrated hornady 180xtp and Win 175st. Expanded nicely as well, though the silvertips flattened out the best. It is snappy, recoils and concussion like full power stuff. I want the velocities, though, and not from the maker.

Thanks for the info. It makes me wonder with such a large difference in Double Taps advertised velocity vs. actual measured velocity, why isn't Double Tap out of business due to fraud? If a ammo company has a consistent discrepancy of 100 fps. on any load, they should be called on it.

My guess is that there are a lot of people who don't give a second thought to what the actual velocity is.

Does anyone actually know how to acquire some of the Elite Ammo? I checked out their website, but it was kinda hard to decipher.

I thought I heard that Elite had a visit from the ATF and they are still trying to sort things out. I don't remember where I heard this but I think it was either the youtube channel or facebook site of the guy doing all the 10mm chrono work.

I have exchanged emails with the gentleman in question. He is a nice guy and IMO is doing the 10mm crowd a HUGE favor by testing all this ammunition head to head on common equipment.

Is there a website that sells it? I know that DT, BB, and UA are all available on other sites like midway, bunborker, ctd, etc...

Yes. The raid had something to do with armor piercing 5.7 X 28 ammo. The bad thing is the ATF took all the customer names/addresses with them. No arrests were made, but lots of stuff was confiscated apparently; legal solutions cost money.

Yes...a great guy who did a big favor for all of us 10MM fans.!
