One of the best all around powders available. It works in darn near every pistol cartridge, but you'll want something a tad slower burning for full power .357 mag and 10mm. It will be good for midrange loads, though...

You'd be hard pressed to find another powder to work in all those calibers as well as Unique.

I've loaded unique in all of those with very good to great results except 10mm.

It won't give you top velocity in .357 but I load 7gr. of it behind 150gr. to 160gr. bullets in 4" .357 that will perform very good. To get top velocity in .357 you need 2400, 296/H110, 4227 or other slower powder..
I don't reload 10mm but unique could be used in it, but again not to top velocity. I would think you could get a decent load with it though.
I've also used Unique with good results in .380acp. + others also.

As XD said it is a very versatile powder. If I only could have 1 pistol powder that would be it.

There is a thread around here where folks have jotted down many loads that they use with Unique. Title is something like Unique users Thread.

IMO it should be a sticky as we get so many Unique questions here.

Good luck. It is a great powder.

There may be a better powder out there, for all those calibers, but I'll never find out! Been loading all those calibers, and, at least one more, 44 mag, using Unique. Have gone with Long Shot, for my hot 10's, and H110 for hot 44's, but other than those two, unique gets used to send all other rounds down range. A very, very, versatile, powder!

Yep, Unique is probably one of the most versatile powders on the market. I've use it probably 80% if the time for my handloads. I have tried other powders but always come back to Unique.

I use Unique for 9mm, 38 super, 38, 357, 45 acp and soon 44 mag. While it's not good for magnum loads it makes for some nice practice rounds to get some trigger time with those guns. But for 9mm, 38 super, 38 special and 45 acp it's an excellent choice in my opinion.

I like it so much that I bought an 8# jug!

If I were forced to have only one powder in stock, it would be Unique. It just flat works well in everything.

If I only could use one powder for the cartridges I reload--.38, .357 and .32 H and R--it would be Unique...no contest. I do use H110 for hot .357 and Trailboss for some light loads, but Unique will do it all pretty well, and you have the added advantage of over a century's worth of accumulated load data. It's to handloading what Hoppe's is to gun cleaning.

There are a lot of good posts on this powder. I've shot more Unique than all other pistol powders combined. None of them can do everything that Unique can do. The only thing it can't do is make full power magnums. This seems to be a pistol thread, but Unique is a very fine shotgun powder as well.
