View Full Version : .223 groups
Shot this group today at 200 yards.
25.9 grains BL-C(2)
55 Grain jacketed bullet.
Mixed brass
Federal premium primers.
It was snowing, but with light wind.
Rifle-Howa 1500 Bolt action with a BSA Sweet .223 scope.
I generally do not shoot groups. Keep in mind I am almost as old as Jack-that would be just a bit younger then dirt. Jack of course is the same age as dirt.

You poked those with a pencil, didn't you?

I figured he poked 'em, but not with a pencil... and from two inches away.

Snow will deflect a 223 bullet. That's why our troops had so much trouble in Viet Nam. Shoot them when it's not snowing and your groups will tighten up to an acceptable level.

Lately, I have gotten interested in the single cold-bore shot. Nothing else really matters (to me).

Pooh on Tom Gaylord. He tests pellet guns. Long range shooting to him is 100 feet.

Jack, if that was the case they would have been the size of cannonballs.
