View Full Version : +2 Pearce grip extension
Finally joined the 10 ring with a G29 I picked up yesterday. The store had Pearce+2 extensions as well. My question is, do I keep the factory floor plate in the magazine or take it out? I left it in and loaded 12 rounds without any hassle. Help me out here. Can't wait to shoot this thing, it is killing me just having it sit here.
On mine I removed the floor plate and installed the one that came with the extension. Put it on a 15 rounder and can only get 16 in and load on a closed slide but 17 with open slide
+2 Pearce extensions for a Glock 29? Do you have the correct Glock model #? I don't think Pearce does a G29 +2 (although it would be nice, and an extension like the G30 for a G29 would be nicer)...
The package said .45 and 10mm and they fit just fine on the 29. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but did manually cycle the full mag just to make sure it fed ok. Just looked at Pearce site and it says G20 & 21. I might need to put the factory plates back on.
Is it an extension without the finger grip on it then?
This is the one I picked up. Says will not work on 10 round mags but it is so far. Guess the question is, am I going to damage anything? The magazine is not bulging so don't see anything wrong.
Fogive my ignorance, first 10mm.
Thats the one I was thinking you got...It is referring to the restricted 10 round G20 magazines when it says it wont work with 10 rounders. It does say it wont work with G30 mags, but I dont see why it wouldnt work with G29 mags
I guess there is one way to find out. I am going to shoot this weekend so we shall see. I mainly got them just to extend the grip. They only had the +2 so that is what I went with.
I use these on my G29 mags and they've worked ok so far. They come in a 2 pack for $10, and they closely resemble the factory 9/40 +2 extensions.
I think they don't work well with the G29 mags (from what I've heard, not experience). It would seem like the shorter spring in the G29 mags would not have the extra length and spring pressure to accommodate for the extra space. I bet you might get poor feeding with hot loads on the last few rounds, and/or no slide lock back after the last round. I really hope they work. Make sure to let us know, because they would be awesome.
If I recall correctly, the G29 mag springs aren't shorter than other Glock mag springs, they almost all use the 9 coil springs.
Worked fine this weekend, only put about 100 rounds through it. I will try some rapid fire in the next few weeks. Have to place an ammo order first.
