... we are going to have a white Christmas!

Last week everything was fine, the local deer were romping in the driveway and pasture.

Last night it started flurrying when I drove down the hill to go dancing, 33 miles... a forty-five minute drive. Left at 11:30... took 2 1/2 hours to get home. Flatlanders were stacked up in accidents and stranded in the roads like cordwood. I hope they froze to death.

This is what I woke up to this morning.

My little baby didn't want to poop... her bottom was cold.

Had planned on doing some casting today... looks like I'm going to spend the day on the skid steer. We're supposed to get up to another foot before tonight.

On the bright side, it keeps Little Stevie and Zombie Steve away from here. See that, there really is a Santa Claus!

Where the hell are my boots?

I hope that the fact that the deer doesn't show in the other pics is because you are curing the meat!

It would take me an entire month of loading just to shoot all the deer, elk and bear that hang around here.

Besides, as long as Safeway sells meat I don't need to hunt.

This'd be my second year hunting, and it's hard to get rid of the bug once it bites ya!

Whilst enjoying another cup of coffee and a cigarette in an effort to actually wake up my son-in-law trudged out to the skid steer and commenced to plow.

Good thing he's wearing his Elmer Fudd hat that I got him for Christmas last year, I spent a lot of money on that. (Plowing is one of the reasons I let him sleep with my daughter.)

Even my grandson is in on the act. If I can get the truck out I guess I'll have to go get him some more Christmas gifts.

Now for the big decision... do I cast or take a nap?

You've got a smart son in law. He even uses the equipment that provides cover from the rear!

Just the thought of being stuck behind Jack for 33 miles while he drives in the left lane with his turn signal on makes me glad I'm not in CO.

While I enjoy seeing your picture very much, I sure as hell don't miss the snow.

It's gonna be in the 70s today. Might go long range shooting or case some cowboy bullets.
