I got one of these today after reading so much about how people love them. Let me just say that it is incredible. A very strong belt and does exactly what everyone says it does.
One peice of advice or any one thinking of buying one, heed the warnings and reccomendations and order a little big. I am a 34 pant size and I carry iwb a lot, I ordered a size 42 belt and it fits perfectly.
Thats' it, Merry Christmas.

Very good belt, I have 2 and I also like the safepacker that my glock rides in at night with the flap between the mattress and box spring.

I have two of their belts. Great products. I only wish they would offer one in dark brown.

8" larger than your waist size????
You've got me worried now. Mine is arriving Tuesday. I ordered exactly as described on their website which turned out to be 2-3" larger than actual waist size. They claim a total 3.5" of adjustability so, hopefully it will work.

Do you carry IWB?
8 inches Seems like a lot but it's not really. Your normal belts run a few sizes bigger than your pants.
I carry a G26 in a Galco King Tuk IWB and so I added another 4 inches for that. I honestly was spot on. The belt buckle lock bar fits exactly in the fold of the belt end, just as designed.
And yes there is some room for adjustment there. Curious to know how you make out tomorrow.

got 2 of them and will go back to leather soon,ok for a light plastic gun,but i dont like the sagging and always pulling up the gun side of my pants or excess movement in holster if a glock or metal framed gun is used.
Good belt. Works well with my Glock Sport Combat holster.
No problem whatsoever holding my Glock22 tight.

Plus if you order too large you can send it back and have them reduce it. Can't go the other way. The first belt I ordered was WAY too big (by 4") yet it's still usable, especially with thicker leather holsters.

I do. I carefully measured according to their instructions which I'm very familiar with because they are like Beltman's who I have purchased several belts from. Two inches should be enough for IWB. I'll let you know.

Love my wilderness... my poor beltman only sees the light of day with suits these days.

That's good if you are carrying an OWB holster, but not so much for IWB.
I believe wilderness' instructions are 2 inches over your normal size just to wear as a belt. That means you'd have to add more for IWB.

I have both the Instructor and Frequent Flyer. I like the Instructor better, I feel it holds tighter and better than the Flyer.

+1 on Wilderness Tactical Belts. I have the 5 stitch belt Instructor belt and love it. As folks have said, order a few sizes larger than your norm.

I think I wear one about four inches above my waist size.

My reinforced Instructors belt came today, just as promised. What a nice piece! Very stout. Every bit of it seems to be constructed of very high quality materials. Regarding the fit, I coud have ordered it an inch or two longer if I was planning on staying at this weight. As it is, the Velcro just barely has a complete overlap with an IWB. With an OWB or no holster, I've got an inch or two past minimum overlap. to be centered in the middle of the Velcro, I'll have to lose a couple of inches, which I will do. All in all, a great belt. Thanks to those who insisted that I buy the original Wilderness and not settle for a cheaper imitation. I enjoy the good stuff!

I've been wearing this belt now for a day trying out my various rigs. Man, the good IWBs are anchored down tight and you get them in the right position and they just disappear on this belt: G26 in a Brommeland Max Con V and a G17 or G23 in a Nick Mathews #1. This is my first non-leather gun belt and I'm very pleased with it.
Not being familiar with tactical belts, this board did me a great favor. I had gotten an email bulletin from one of the tactical distributors advertising 20% off 5.11 gear. I don't have any of their stuff but I thought they had a good name. With the discount, I could get a 5-stitch, 2-ply nylon belt for under $40 including shipping. Great deal, right? I actually placed the order late on a Sat. Night. On Sunday, I posted here about it and quickly learned that these were Chinese belts and much better quality could be had from the original US company, Wilderness. Fortunately because I had placed that order after hours, I was able to call first thing Monday morning and get it cancelled. Wilderness had my custom length CSM to me in a week despite the Christmas holIday. It was about $18 more, a not insignificant 45% premium, but I am very happy to have purchased quality once. So, thanks to everyone who contributed to my education on this product.

I almost bought the uncle mikes version but after reading all the posts here it didnt' seem like a purchase to scrimp on for a few dollars savings. Glad I got what I got.
I measured exactly like the website told me to and it fits perfectly. There's plenty of play to make up for IWB or not. It's very comfortable and secure, I'm very happy with it. Measure your belt like it says on their site and you can't go wrong.

I have a 32 inch waist. I ordered a 34 inch and it fits fine! I like the Wilderness so much that I went back to wearing it even after I purchased a quality leather belt. The leather one is a great belt, but the Wilderness feels more comfortable to me....I'll probably end up selling the leather one, or give it to one of my grandsons??

I wear 36 pants which are perfect for IWB carry for me and I ordered a 39" Instructors belt.
I get about 1" of overlap on the velcro while carrying IWB.
My first belt...but i'm very happy with it. I do need a leather belt for more dressy occasions though.

If you're gonna get a "web belt" don't waste your time with 5.11 or Uncle Mikes, and just get the best. The Wilderness belts are just fantastic. Although I have a penchant for leather nowdays, I'd have no issue going back to my Wilderness if needed.
I also agree w/ one of the posters above... Get the regular Instructor, not the Frequent Flyer. I thought the FF sucked big time.
Hope the belt continues to work out for the OP.

Yup. Really.
The lock bar fits right in the crease from the factory (just before the velcro). Upon further inspection, this means that I have no downward adjustment, so I can't lose weight but that won't be a problem, I have never been lower than a 34.
