Just a quick question for those who have installed the Ed Brown Maxiwell in blue on their 1911. How has the finish stood up and how long have you had it? That is all, thanks.

Mine turned color and has a worn copper look.

blue wears off where the bottom of my palm rubs it.

edit: i only point this out because it happens relatively quickly with me. not any quicker than a blued gun will wear on the frame around the grips but still fwiw it does it.

i dunno what chemical property of the sweat makes the difference but its amazing how different people are with regards to this.

i need to sell my sweat to refinishers as blue-remover.
