I have a chance to buy a Champion from my brother in law. He bought it new last year, and only has 80 rounds through it. I know this for sure because I keep it in my safe. It has all the paper work, box everything that came with it. It's the OD green frame night sights and ambidextrous safety. He doesn't know what to sell it for, and I don't know how much to offer him. He did mention $ 600.00 a while back, but not sure if that offer still stands. The pistol is absolutely pristine condition. What do you guys think it's worth? Also it doesn't say on the slide "Champion Operator" just "Champion" but from what I see on the Springfield it appears to be the loaded model. What is the difference between the Champion and the Champion Operator?

The Operator is the railed version.

If you can snag it for $600, you'd be making out like a bandit. They go for for $800+ when you can find them.

get the Champion. You'll like it.

Operator = rail frame.

Used one in really good shape here in NC for 679.00. On my way now to get it.
Asked about this model and heard nothing but good things......

good gun. pick it up if you can. its nice to have the 4" barrel but have a full size grip if you want to carry it.

$600 is a great price. I got mine at the military rate for $715 earlier this year. It's a great gun, mine has had 1 malfunction in about 300 rounds and feeds all kinds of ammo.

my loaded champion was my first 1911, and haven't really had any problems with mine. The slide serrations are fairly sharp though...
