Well I purchased my first 1911 on buds. It arrived at my FFL and I picked it up today. This thing came soaked in oil. Performed my first strip of a 1911. Wasn't too bad. I am very impressed with how tight the slide is to the frame. Can't wait to shoot it tomorrow.

Good choice for a first 1911. They are awesome for the price range. I love mine too, the slide glides like its on ice.

Ran by the range and put 50 Atlanta Arms 230gr tmj and 30 Remington 185gr +P Golden Sabers through it. Functioned flawlessly and was very accurate. Had a blast. Looking forward to more shooting with it.

Congrats. My Citadel is tighter than a virgin bank vault.I'm starting to think that the "low end" 1911's are as well built as the "high end" pistols.

Yeah, it's pretty sad to look at my $1000 Colt and SW and then look at the $400 Filipino job to see that it has much better fit & finish than products from these venerable American gun makers.

I figure I can use it for any 5" 1911 I end up with in the future, and it's not that much more than most quality holsters.

congrats. those are awesome shooters... such a nice quality for a 500 dollar-range 1911... my buddy bought one a while back... we took one of our friends dads shooting with us and he was giving him crap for buying a filipino 1911... until he shot it...

Went back to the range today. Only one hiccup. Gun failed to completely go into battery after about 75 rounds. I was shooting some DIRTY DIRTY Atlanta Arms reloads in it. I'm sure there was a little bit of fouling in the chamber that caused it. Other than that it was a great time at the range.
