I know, it's a very silly question, as if you own one 1911, then you're going to buy more. But, just for fun, let's say you could have only one 1911. No price max at all. I'd personally either have a Guncrafter or some kind of Wilson.:dunno: VERY tough choice.

Kinda what I'm up against now, won't be my only one, but will be my only one for some time. I haven't had one in a couple of years, and man have the prices gone up!!!! :wow:

I will be following this thread for information............I however, do not have an unlimited budget, lol.

No more CBOB's, VBOB's running more than Ed Browns, SA on major backorder, Kimbers $1300+, what the hell happened, lol.

Well, I only have one right now, a lowly ACII. If I could have a nice one though, I'd probably look hard at a black Valor or No Name, depending on my budget.

I'm happy with my Norinco G.I. copy, and it's my only 1911 right now. I can't think of anything I'd trade it in for as it's proven itself time and again. If I had no 1911 already and could get any new 1911 for free, I'd probably have Harrison or Heirloom work up a G.I. style 1911 with updated "modern" internals, nicer sights, proper vertical serrations, proper "wide" spur hammer, and built just a tad bit tighter than original specs and tolerances. Oh, and no roll marks.

i kind of have the antithesis of this dilemma now. I have some projects to fund and have considering selling off a 1911 safe queen. Problem is, I bought them all for a reason and don't want to off one.

I guess if I could have only one 1911, it would be a Jardine Valtro:

Thankfully I don't have to make this decision. Unfortunately, I still don't have a Valtro.

A CCO style gun in .45 with a .22 conversion. cheap ammo for practice and it could use full size or compact mags. It would have a concealable grip and service length barrel. I would prefer it in steel or a hard chrome frame for durability.

Probably the gun on my hip, a 1998 vintage Kimber Classic Custom that I had built up with the FBI package by Joe Bonar (RIP) at Novak's. I was going to say my newest, the Wilson CQB Elite, but I don't have enough trigger time on that one yet to have the same level of confidence.

Tough decision.

Heirloom Precision would be #1

Im a simple guy. I'd take my Les Baer Custom Carry. There's no wonder finsih or any special doodads attached to it. Just a simple and well built gun.

For a do everything 1911 I would have to go with a Coonan Arms 357 Mag.
