1911 Vert Shoulder Rig: First Review

Black Hills Leather, bikini, shoulder rig

I didn't like muzzle sweeping everyone behind me at the grocery store.

Leather seems to be more substantial than my Galco, fittings are good quality, holster fits the CCO well.

Seems comfortable and well designed. Tie downs are integrated into the holster and mag pouches.

Haven't gotten it completely adjusted yet, but you get the idea.

We'll see how it works, and I'll report back after a few weeks.

Is the retaining strap the pull through type or do you have to unsnap it first? If you have to unsnap it, then it looks kind of awkward the way it is right now.

It's the pull through type.

And I don't really have that rig adjusted properly in the pic.

Looks great! I've been looking for something to carry a 6" longslide model in for awhile, and this looks like it should fit the bill perfectly. Plus, I can switch out pistols depending on what's in the safe at the time :supergrin:

Would like to wear the pistol a little higher, so I've contacted the company about an elastic tie down system similar to the one on the mag pouches.

So far, so good.

Wearing it all day today again.
