Decided I will be getting my first AR. I have about $1k to spend on a new (not used) rifle and don't want to build my own. I would like it to be a 16", 1/7 (or 1/8) with a mid-length gas system and iron sights. The only one I can find that meets those criteria are a Spikes Tactical Mid-Length. Are there any others in that price range to consider?
Thanks.

Spike's is good. BCM has some mid-lengths too. Have fun with your build.

I thought the 6920 was a carbine length gas system? Looking for a mid-length

It is but some just can't reply to a post with an answer to a question.

I have a couple PSA middys. It's awesome and every bit as good as high end rifles in my opinion. If you build the lower, you can get the whole rifle for around $550 and have $400 for accessories/optics. That's the route I'd go. Here's a mid length PSA I just finished last week:

The Daniel Defense XVM if you can find one.

To stay within your financial limits, Spikes and PSA are your best choices. And, they're reliable. Good luck with your choice.

Doesn't really matter. Not looking for a rail to hang things off of. Basic setup. Basic handguard would be fine.

Thanks for the input. I wasn't sure about the PSAs, but will look into them.

Theres a guy on arfcom selling a new BCM 16" mid for $375 shipped.

I'd get that and a lower and add your hand guards and whatever sights you like.
