Hi Mas, I was cleaning the safe and found one of the first revolvers
I had ever bought, it's a Taurus m85 Concealed Hammer 38 spl
( non +P ). It must be about 15 + years since I've shot this gun.

I know it must have been less than 100 rounds. I remember very
Little about it. My question to you is, do you think I can use it as a reliable
SD arm?

I know you see a lot of firearms, and if I'm right I believe this was
A time when Taurus was improving their firearms. Do you have
Any information on how reliable these revolvers where?

Or should I throw it back into the safe ;).

Thank you acaligunner

I know lots of folks who are partial to the little Taurus revolvers. Guns are like dogs and people: you don't judge by breed, you judge specimen by specimen. Give it a once over, then take it out and shoot it, would be my suggestion. if there's any question at all, bring it by a gunsmith for a safety check.

Thank you for the information on this neat little revolver.
Mas, is there a Good non + P load that you could recommend?

All the best, acaligunner

Best I ever found was 125 grain Federal Nyclad.
