Hi Folks ! First a short explanation... I recently bought a M&P 9mm compact for my wife .... She likes the gun and can cycle the slide, so that's good. Since it's the shorter barrel , it does have some muzzle flip that doesn't seem to offend her much. BUT...... to make practice as pleasant as possible.....

I'd like to find a weight that could be attached on the light rail. I'm almost sure that I have seen them in the past but I certainly can't find anything like it now... Does anyone have the name of a product or suggestions ???

Thanks ! mike

Thank you, sir ! That is exactly what I had in mind. I think it will fit as is, but if not..... I can modify as needed .

Thanks again ! mike

You can also try different ammo. I found with my PX4, 40cal that the 180gr@950fps stuff was more of a push and less flip then the 155-165gr stuff was. Maybe some 147gr sub-sonic 9x19mm might give her less flip and more of a push.

Have you considered an extended ported barrel?
Storm Lake makes extended dual port barrels that might solve the problem
without the extra bulk and weight of a light on the nose.

I'm getting a ported 357 version for my G27 - arrives early Feb.

Do these extend beyond the slide or do you have to have the slide ported?

Oops, didn't see the picture.

Yup, Yup.
No magnaport holes drilled in the slide.
Just a drop in extended barrel that can come right back out.
Plus with the G27/40
you can go 357 sig or 9mm (with mags) and have a convertible gun!
