View Full Version : 1860 Colt Army
My dream is to own a repro of an 1860 Colt Army that shoots .45 long colt ammo. Is there such a thing? Is this the right place to ask?

You can get a ctg. convert or you can get a ctg. convert kit from Midway USA and retrofit your '60 Army.
If you do go that route, understand it'll be a relatively (I said RELATIVELY) weak setup that should only be fired with light .45 Colt loads.

some of the italian makers are making a cartridge conversion 1860 army. As mentioned above there are also conversion cylinders that allow your percussion 1860 army to shott 45 colt ammo. I'll agree this set up should be used with mild "cowboy" load ammo or black powder only.
