I've been looking at a CZ-82 for cc. Have also thought about a Bulgarian or E. German Markov since it is thinner and would likely be easier to carry. Would appreciate thoughts on this pistol. At this point I am just thinking things through. It will be a while before I can make a purchase. Sincerely. Brucev.

Why not? My buddy has a P64 and while I don't think the 9X18 is really sufficient for self-defense, it's still not a slouch. It's about the same as a .380 in terms of performance. The thing is small, but heavy and it has the hardest DA trigger you will ever pull in your life. The SA is not bad though, at all. Self defense ammo is hard to find for 9x18. The mag release is on the bottom which is a deal breaker for me.

But I know that the CZ-82 is much more gun...double stack, more rounds, conventional mag release, etc. I would carry one...

One of the best made C&R weapons out there. And you can get Hornady hps in a couple configs.

Here's one and their shipping is the cheapest:

It would serve you very well as a CCW pistol.
