GSG 1911-22 problem...

Tonight, after watching a Youtube video, I decided to disassemble my GSG 1911-22 to remove the magazine safety and try to smooth out the grip safety a little. The pistol shoots great, but I had to hold it a certain way for the grip safety to allow it to fire.

While trying to reassemble it, the plunger for the safety lever popped off and must have gone into another dimension because it is nowhere to be found.

Will any 1911 safety plunger fit? I've found some online, but with shipping and handling they wind up being around $10, so I want to make sure that it's gonna fit before I order.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I haven't looked inside my GSG's plunger tube. I've been meaning to make sure it's properly staked. Will look tonight and let you know.

Off topic but do these guns eat Federal bulk ammo? I was looking at these and the Sig 1911-22 yesterday.

I found my plunger!!!

I just got it all back together and everything seems to be working like it should. I feel much better now! :supergrin:
