Hi Mas,
Is it wise to train yourself always to shoot with both eyes open or is there ever a time when you would recommend closing your non-dominant eye to get a sight picture? Such as for a long range shot perhaps?

thanks alot!

It's not the best idea. Not only does closing an eye block 50% of your capability to see danger at the worst possible moment, but the eye doctors tell me that it's not conducive to sharp vision in the eye that remains open. Apparently the translucent eyelid causes the closed eye to dilate its pupil, and pupils dilate sympathetically, so the other eye is also affected.
