View Full Version : Slimeball disgraced ex-cop cries in court, judge is 'moved'
Wow. So he frames people, then breaks down in court like the spineless wuss he is and begs for mercy. And the judge is 'moved'. I wonder if this can be the new defense that keeps people out of jail - just show that in addition to being a slimeball, you're don't have a spine and prison makes you cry.
A quote in the article said he begged not to be put in jail. That would tell me that his apology was less than totally sincere. People who are truly sorry and know their wrongdoing take their punishment in stride. Their remorse is for the victim and not themselves. Insincere people apologize and dramatize because they are sorry they got caught.
It also seems that his weak behavior did not change. He caved to the pressure of quotas (according to his lawyer), and also caved when it came time to taking responsibility. It seems his crying was more consistent with his weakness of caving to pressure than it was for remorse.
It would be up to the victims to accept his apology, but I think he got off far too easy.
there should be no leniency for dirty cops.
they should get the maximum sentence, plus extra for abusing the public trust.
I hope karma catches up to this pig in a big way.
