Don't know what I did or didn't do? Other that change my email address on the User CP recently due to a new ISP I have no clue why I can't post. I can log in but nothing beyond that. I emailed an administrator about a week ago however no one has had the courtesy to reply.

Perhaps I am on double secret probation?

Have you visited any communist countries in the last six months?
Maybe donated money to a liberal organization?

Admin must approve the new IP address,.....It's kinda like you started a new account.
Swing over to www.1911addicts.com (http://www.1911addicts.com) it's a tad bit more friendly crowd!

Really? New IP address due to the new ISP? Well if that were the case how come I have never had a problem posting from numerous Wi-Fi hotspots in different parts of the country?

It is just the way that forum is set up. Some forums block IP addresses
until approved by Admin........just the way it is!

Kinda like when someone is banned,.......all controlled by IP address.

Well, my first thought was: "From Connecticut? Obviously he's banned..."

:whistling:

The email address change is the issue, not the IP address. You need to be reathenticated.

Nope. It is clean.

I tried sending a message to a forum administrator again. I will see what happens and watch the spam folder as well.

I have been banned there for years for the following reason listed when I tried to log in:

"Reason : None"

That is what it says on their sight word for word. No ideal what it is about.

OK, this happened to me after I changed my e-mail address there. After you changed your address, you should have received an e-mail with a link to click on to confirm it. Mine went to my spam mail and I did not see it for a few days. Even the mods could not figure out why I could sign in, but not post .

Wow,.......thought it was all about the IP address.
Sounds like the new e-mail is the hold up.........

It couldn't be IP address screening....99% of internet connections do not have a static IP, so you'd be getting 'banned' every day or two. Not to mention logging on from other locations.

OK, got it, the 1911forum website as opposed to the 1911 forum here. My apologies.

Did you bash Kimber?

Nope.

Still no reply when I used the Contact Us link on the 1911forum website for the second time. Either it is going to the dead letter box or I'm a very very bad boy and don't know it.

I never heard back from them when I used the contact box . I contacted a Mod. He contacted the Admin and they could not figure out what was wrong.. It was a few days later when I checked my spam mail that I found the validation e-mail.
