Among the slick, million-dollar ads for the likes of Pepsi and Honda during the Super Bowl this Sunday, viewers in New York and Boston will see a far more modest spot. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will be sitting on a couch touting an issue most politicians avoid like the plague: gun control.

I'm surprised they will run something this controversial during the Superbowl. On second though I'm not really surprised, it is NBC after all.

Regards,
Happyguy :)

Wouldn't they better serve their citizens by keeping the violent criminals locked up for the full term of their sentences?

Who said anything about serving anybody?

This would be the local NBC affiliates selling the time to Bloomberg and his asinine group. Not NBC itself, otherwise it would be nationwide and not only in those two markets.

run a ad like this...a still picture of death camp inmates, standing by the wire as ss men smile and walk by them on the other side. then flash this caption over the picture, " as germans..they supported gun laws too."

Let them run the ad, they want to run an anti-2a commercial during the superbowl? Football is a man's game, I love this. Anyone at a superbowl party who agrees with this licktards will be put in their place by everyone else! LMAO

Only if Bloomberg could experience living like most New Yorkers:

Traveling without chauffeurs
Taking public transportation all hours of the night
Walking alone to and from bus stops/subway stations
Living without his personal security team
Knowing there's a good chance the bad guy may be armed and he can't
Only having (if possible) the 911 response, home security system response, or a louisville slugger as your defense against burglars.

Would he still....

Never mind, he's still a douce

Lmfao, wow. "We both support the 2nd amendment", and they're against "keeping guns out of the hands of criminals". Rhetoric sounds like anybody on GT, but the reality is they have more in common with Stalin on gun control!

Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler.

The experts agree. Gun Control works.

Or pushing the legal system to get rid of the violent repeat offenders so they can't go back in to society and do the same thing again. :whistling:

"He added that more Americans have been killed by illegal guns since 1968 than were killed in World War II"

Wow, so you mean in a span of more than FORTY YEARS more people have been killed?!?!?!

I have very high doubts about this.

What are these illegal guns you speak of? I prefer the term "undocumented".:whistling:

That was my thought exactly when I watched the video the first time... I had to rewind and play it a couple time to make sure I heard correctly that they support the 2nd amendment, as that was news to me.

His police officers can't even walk to work without being mugged !

Maybe he should walk to and from work unarmed and unescorted.

Thankfully, it's just a regional ad, not national.

I get sooooooooo tired of the same 'ol, same 'ol from the Bradiots and Bloomorons.

In that video, is Bloomberg sitting on a half a dozen NYC phone books? He looks to be the same height as that other goofball.

I don't understand. If they're against illegal guns, why are they trying so hard to make all guns illegal?
