I was able to pick up these two old war horses recently. The model 10-6 is from 1968 and the model 15-4 dates 1985. Both have a few battle scars but I got them to shoot and I can do that without worry. How do you like them.

I like them a lot!
I think that model 15 is the best .38 ever made, even though I personally prefer model 10 with 4" HB.
The 10-6 must be 5" barrel and I can tell You that it's very accurate gun.
Picture from yesterday, something like 6 yards (not really sure as I'm a metric guy and the target was set between 5 and 7 meters away from the firing line) - rapid fire with one fast reload.

You going to have a lot of fun with it. Congratulations!

I agree the 15 is a great gun but I want the Model 10 with a HB. They will serve you well I am sure.

Nestor, yes the Model 10 is a 5" barrel gun. I love the diamond grips on it. Your target looks pretty good..I will try to do the same.:wavey:
The action on both of them is really smooth. Look forward to putting some rounds down range.

Congratulations. Two great revolvers you got there. I really like those diamond magna's.

I like the Model 15 better myself, but it's close. When it comes to the Model 10, I like tapered standard barrels. Funny, now that I think of it. I say I like the 15 better, but I've got a lot more M&P/Model 10's. I just keep tripping over them I guess.

I like the grips on the Model 10 but man the Model 15 with the Hogues fit my hand perfect. I don't have to re position my hand at all to cock the hammer and fire. Don't believe I will change the grips on it.

The model 15 is my all time favorite and I have a real soft spot for the 10's too. These probably get shot more than all my other gun combined. Congrats on two solid looking revolvers!

Your 15 looks like it has a target hammer and target trigger also (big wide hammer & trigger...note the difference between the two guns.). Those would both help with single action fire also.

The Hogues are comfortable grips, but to be honest I so seldom shoot mine, I prefer the standard magna's. I'm prowling gunshows now to find a set for a '48 M&P.

Cajun, yes the Model 15 does have the wide target hammer and trigger. They feel great. I may put woodies on it but the Houges just fit me better. In fact I have a new set on the way because these are gettin a little ragged. Can't wait to shoot it.
