I went through all of this because I expected an in stock item to be delivered promptly. Turns out they drop ship and aren't very professional. Here's the "in stock" item if you're looking for one and don't mind the wait.
Junglas Sheath (http://www.hand-tools.com/product-detail.php?prodnum=BRK-ESJS)

I'll save you the back and forth. I inquired about why it took so long to ship an item they clearly state is in stock.
This was the last response I received when I informed them I would not be using them and would let others know that may want items ordered to be shipped promptly.

I don't know what is worse they saying they have one in stock or the icon on the bottom saying that they are safe to buy from and stock without drop shipping. :faint:
They probably don't have any in stock so they just keep the count at one on their website to keep the look up.
The sad part is with all the ordering I do online for various things the websites I worry about getting burned by the most are knives sellers with all the problems I here or experienced myself. :dunno:

To be fair I suppose it isn't actually drop shipping as instead of ordering from another site and shipping direct to me they order from another site and have it shipped to themselves and then to me :faint:
I've spent a little over five bills this month on gear, I know what you mean. There are quite a few unscrupulous dealers out there and I don't care to support them or let anyone else learn the hard way. It seems they really don't like it when you point it out to them.

:wavey:Good to know SE6, I'll do my best to avoid them. That response is 100% unprofessional and almost laughable.

Them being the middle man for the sheaths is just setting them up for disaster if they are portraying as the product as being in stock. Do you know where they are ordering them from?
If they are willing to say things like "Go do all the internet trolling you want, but don't think we don't have tools in place to monitor your comments" and things of that nature then it leads me to believe this isn't the first complaint they have received.

I looked into their shipping policy. They pretty much say that it will take a minimum of a week to get anything you ordered from them because they don't stock anything.

Yet the page with the sheath says it is in stock and ready to ship. Bait and switch much?
Product Number: ESJS
Quantity Available: 1 (Inventory last updated February 07 2012)

Exactly, another reason why I wouldn't order from them.

I have no idea where they are ordering from. This was a post on their FB site. Unfortunately I ASSumed that an item in stock meant it was available for immediate delivery. Silly me.
FB User
"Don't be in a rush to get your order shipped !!( like I was) here is their shipping policy: { note the last sentence ;) }"
"Hand-Tools"
"The stated quantities on the website are the quantities available at the distributors and manufacturers we buy from. We receive orders from the distributors and manufacturers approximately weekly. We do not offer rush or expedited shipping on any Hand-Tools.com orders. All orders from Hand-Tools.com take a week to deliver at the very minimum. Most orders take less than two weeks to deliver. Some orders can take four weeks to deliver. If you provide an e-mail address you will receive a confirmation from us as soon as the order has been processed. Tracking information is usually sent from the carrier within 24 hours of your shipment. Just because you receive tracking information does not mean your order has shipped. Hand-Tools.com niche market is providing hard to find products at great prices. That said, Hand-Tools.com does not claim to be a ship-fast get it lickety split website. If you are looking to get something in less than 5 days and have a need to interact with customer service on a continual basis, then Hand-Tools.com may not be the site for you."

Yeah, I saw that on their FB page that's why I put the link in my other post about their shipping policy.
If they want to be a middle man type of seller that's ok but they shouldn't be advertising as what they carry as in stock if they have to order it from their vendors.

Not only is he going to call you names now he's going to tattle on you to your boss. A real hardass, that one. What makes him think you even have a boss or are at work. This isn't red china jack, not all people work 8-5 for a tyrant employer.
