Ok, I bought one last week and I love shooting it. Anyone else feel that way?

Hopefully, it works well for you.

Mosquitos don't exactly have the best reputation.

So far 500 rounds through it , 400 rounds of CCI MM and 100 rounds of Blazer with no problems, I do clean it after each range visit. Very accurate and easy to shoot.

Isn't that mostly people trying to run ammo through them that they weren't designed for?

Just don't try to shoot the hottest hyper-velocity 22lr ammo in Mosquito e.g. CCI Stinger, CCI Velocitor, Winchester Super-X 40gr or else gun's slide will split like mine did. I had it for 3 1/2 years, shot over 4.500 rounds of standard 40gr@1000fps and high velocity amo (40gr@1250fps) with no problem.
But then one day I decided to chrono-measure and compare some different HV ammo including those 3 above. I wish I never did
After few shots the slide split. It's made of some cheap alloy and can't be fixed :crying:
No help from Sig-Sauer here in Europe though, they wouldn't change my slide even if I pay for it. They said to buy a new 22 gun, so I did. But not Sig Sauer brand of course. Never ever anymore :shame:

Very true.

A far better solution is to put a Sig .22 conversion on top of a 229 or 226.

Update- 1 month later and about 800 CCI MM and 100 Blazer with no malfunctions. I clean it after every range visit.7
