Real men ccw full size glocks... Im 5 10 and 175 pounds and carry a G17 and a G22... Used to carry a G27,Kahr pm9,Ruger Lcp and sold it... Way to many sissy men these days whining they need somthing smaller and smaller and still even though they came out with lots of options i still see whining we need somthing smaller and lighter... Back in the days the REAL men that were in WW1/WW2/VIETNAM and so on carried MUCH heavier full size firearms and you guys are crying about a G17/G22... Ok I give the 19/23 the benefit of the doubt... But look at the Beretta's and the 1911's that are still ccw today and are BIGGER and Much heavier then the G17/G22... Even though the 1911 has very little rounds at least they have the balls to carry a real weapon... Yea you can get a G26/G27 and add a G17/G22 mag thats not an excuse... I think all the men that were reincarnated were women back in the days =)

Just busting some balls... If glock comes out with a small single stack 9mm or 40 thats the size of a diamondback or even a kahr Pm9 then i would buy one as a back up for my G17/G22... But otherwise the rest of the small single stack firearms ive owned as mentioned above love to rust and jam all the time...

I carry a full size 1911 and or my 21sf.

However I now realize there is no need and am about to go out and buy a 30sf. To carry something that big isnt easy and I think I will really enjoy not pulling my pants up all the time or looking for a perfect holster that doesnt exist in terms of making a full size comfortable.

Real men don't carry guns.

But if they do, a small weapon is fine. Because a real man keeps it hidden. They do not need to advertise "I have a GUN!" And a real man can get it done with far less than 16 or 18 rounds.

I thought about going down that road, but wanted to indulge the ironic satire the little original poster was trying for; I thought everyone knew that 10 10mm bullets at the velocity provided, trumps howevermany those little steroidal mouseguns these guys are talking about carry, every time. But I could be wrong.

When off duty, I slide an HK USP 40 in or a Glock 20 10mm in at 1 o'clock baby. Proper adjustment and its just fine. Yup, I trust they won't go bang unless I pull the trigger.

I have a Crossbreed holster that was tailored for the G30SF, but it also works perfectly with my G20SF. I don't notice a bit of difference between carry either in this holster, and I really prefer the G20SF as it fits my hand better than any other Glock, I like the longer sight radius, it has a very natural point of aim for me, and holds 15+1 of 10mm. What's not to like? The only down side is that when the weather gets warmer I won't be able to conceal it that well due to the longer grip. The longer barrel is easy to conceal no problem, and I don't even notice it. Looks like I'll need to get another IWB holster for my G23. That is if I don't sell it and replace it with a G29SF.

I prefer full-size guns...on-duty G22, off-duty is usually a Gov't 1911, the smallest I go in taht platform is a OACP. The other off-duty option is my duty G22 or personal G23 on my hip. If the circumstances dictate tucked shirt and no cover garment, a G27 on the ankle.

I don't care for pocket guns in 9mm, .380, .32, et al. I have had to use my pistol in defense and cannot think of an instance when I might draw my pistol and wish that I was carrying a smaller, lighter, less powerful caliber in a pistol with no sights and a crappy trigger.

With regards to back-up guns, my on-duty choice is my G27 in an ankle holster. My theory on this is that if my primary gun goes down for whatever reason, my back-up gun becomes my primary gun, therefor I want it in a platform/caliber that I would be willing to rely on as a primary pistol.

My $.02

Real Men CCW ...

... a gun/ammo combination they have thoroughly tested for complete reliability and effectiveness, knowing when crunch time comes (if ever) the last thing anyone needs lurking in the back of one's mind is any doubt regarding reliability of the chosen self-defense system.

Real men/women who CCW are determined to act accordingly as the situation dictates and are willing to prevent anyone from criminally taking theirs or innocent bystanders' lives in a felonious assault. Or also to refrain from shooting as the situation dictates, such as when an instigator decides to flee instead of pressing the crime in the face of armed resistance.

Real men/women CCW with the constant awareness that CCW carries an enormous legal, moral, and psychological responsibility no matter what platform the individual is packing. The issues of weapon size, capacity etc ... are secondary to the essential primary issues.

Well I suggest never to use any leather holster any holster that is made with material is better... Not only does the finish wear quick but just a little heat or any water that touches it for a few hours turns the finish with rust spots and well you can get it off but that means takin the finish off and re bluing or makin it a chrome slide... And no its not cause im in Miami... I have a few friends that live up north and same thing has happened to them even the Kahr Pm9 in black and Kahr p40 in black...

Thats why I love glocks they dont rust with any kind of exposure... But I learned whats the best way to protect the rugers and the colts and so on since they dont have the tennifer finish... Very simple WAX... Just like you wax your car you wax your slide... Make sure its a non abrasive wax and not only your finish wont rust but wont wear =)

No thanks. I'm more careful then that. I don't allow 13 year old trolls to touch me.

I carry a Barrett 82a1 at 12 o'clock. Barrel first into the twig and berries. That way nobody knows I am packing. ;)

If you were a real man, you would carry a 16 inch barreled Ar-15 in your right front pocket and an 870 in your left.

I don't....it just looks like I do.

But if they do, a small weapon is fine. Because a real man keeps it hidden. They do not need to advertise "I have a GUN!" And a real man can get it done with far less than 16 or 18 rounds.

I am sure this post was to make people flame out and post crazy responses. However, I have a Glock 22 and a Glock 27. I don't know of anything the 22 will do that the 27 won't. My backup magazine on the 27 (my ccw gun) is actually one of my 22 mags.

Real men do not need to brag on the size of the weapon they carry concealed. It is like the old saying, it isn't the size of the tool it how well you can use it.

One of the men I most feared to get mad at me or shooting at me carried two j-frames.

He was a quiet, and most importantly COMPETENT professional.

I admire those who can carry a fullsize gun with ease but it makes them no more a man.

Real men don't carry anything-they have gunbearers and ride in M 60 Abrams tanks.

I think it should be pointed out that a Glock 17 really isn't that big in the first place.

Which may have been pointed out already. But I wasn't about to read 5 pages worth to find out.

My $.02

FWIW, the PM9/PM40 has real, decent sites and a trigger pull like BUTTAH.

I thought the same thing. I guess it isnt the size of the gun but method of concealment?
