hey guys, I searched but still wasn't satisfied. I am building a bug out bag to keep in my truck. I cant decided what kind of bag to build it out of. I don't want a small shoulder bag, I dont want a large ruck either. I want an affordable medium size bag. what do you guys suggest. I am open to any and all suggestions. thanks. :wavey:

Do you want a bag that LOOKS like a militaristic BOB? Or are you trying to go greyman?

LAPG 3 day bag.

just ordered it, can't beat that price! I'll use it as a bug out bag. if I don't like it I might try to get some sort of internal framed hiking pack and find another use for it. thanks guys for the help!

it's not that important to me, alot of people where I live use the military style bags in every day life. I really just want something quality for a decent price thats not to big not to small.

How long have you had it? has it kept up pretty well? is it big enough with out being to big? I just ordered it and am excited to see what it's like.

I have one and IMO it's worth the $30. If they ever have a free shipping weekend I'll buy another one. It may not last you as long as a 5.11 or Maxpedition, but it's a 1/3 of the price.

Ive had it for about two years. It has MOLLE on it for mounting stuff if you want but plenty of space inside if you want it that way too. I have moved it in and out of my vehicle multiple times to move stuff in an dout for seasonal reasons etc and it hasnt shown any wear at all.

Its not huge but not small. Like a big school backpack. You wouldnt want to wear it everyday but if you need to throw it on and hump out somewhere from your vehicle its very doable.

For something to ride along in your vehicle with emergency supplies and get home stuff its worth the money.

I would also watch for sales onthe Tactical Bail Out Bag. They are pretty cheap when they run sales or promos and are just very darn useful. I have three of them.

I have one of the LAPG bags also. It rides in the back of my SUV. Its a lot bigger than I thought it was. I've got problems filling it up with stuff! Side note, the white mid sized JnJ first aid kit fits perfectly in the outside bottom pouch for quick access. I got my hydration bladder for it from REI for under $20

LAPG 3 day bag.

I just got one of these last week when they went on close out and it's a great bag for just plain carrying your stuff in a medium size bag.

I suggest that you:

a) decide how long and how far this bag needs to get you

b) consider very carefully the geography/terrain/water/weather

c) list the items you NEED (and want)

The bag selection will narrow itself down very much at that point.

I can't say enough good things about this bag. There are better bags. There aren't many cheaper. There are none this good this cheap!

You can grey man this in a minute with a waterproof nylon cover in blue or green or whatever.
