I dont pocket carry often, but its a nice option to have. It really comes in handy when I have to wear dress clothes somewhere that requires 100% concealment.

Everyone should have a pocket gun, even if its not your primary method of carry.

I prefer the jframe to the small autos myself. I have had this little guy since 2004:

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e90/collim1/DSCF0030.jpg

I use a Uncle Mikes pocket holster and it conceals well, stays oriented upright, and is comfortable to carry in a front pants pocket.

I don't often pocket-carry. However, when I do, I've found the LCP in a Blackhawk #1 a decent choice.

I have an LC9 and a J-Frame .38spl +P, but they seem just a bit too large to come out of a pocket smoothly.

Below is a pic taken with my MacBook.

I've comfortably carried a K frame and a Glock 26 in Mika pocket holsters, after trying and rejecting various other makes. The Mika was by far the best, for comfort, concealment, and ease of draw.

Here are my carry guns. I've heard various people refer to all 4 of them as pocket carry, so I thought I'd show you the comparison pics.
G26, PM9, 642, LCP

Usually I carry IWB, so the pics show a cutoff line for that, and thus the portion that needs to be concealed under a t-shirt.

I have pocket carried all 4 (not at the same time), but obviously the LCP is the easiest to do that with. Although cargo pocket summer shorts works good with the 642 and PM9. The G26 is both a bit bulky and heavy for pocket carry, in my opinion.

442-2 with the lock but its ported and has a 405 Crimson Trace. I wouldn't trust anything less than 38 p+ but since my primary carry is 29sf loaded with some rockets...I really feel under gunned with the 442, usually just carry both for a New York reload if I ever needed, or to give the 442 to the wife.

I am seeing a lot of Kahrs which is good. The pistol that has really had my eye is the PM9/CM9 I cannot find anyone that has either in stock. I have previous Owned a S&W Bodyguard 380 and an LCP. The other two I am looking at are the Kahr P380 and the S&W Bodyguard 38. Thoughts?

I have a Glock 23 and 27 which have pretty much been the only two I have been carrying for the past 3 or 4 years.

p.s. those with the Kahrs would they fit in the back pocket of a pair of jeans?

I do not find my CM9 small enough to be fully concealed in the back pocket of jeans. The "wallet" holsters for them are bigger than any normal wallet I've ever seen, too.

If you want to go the .380 route, I highly recommend the P380... I have found it to be as good if not better as the sig p238 that everyone seems to love. The guns are far different set ups as you know (single action vs double) but I carry the heaviest 380 I can find locally and it's still a dream to shoot out of the P380... Plus you can swap out your sights and have night sights on a pocket pistol which is awesome

I love pocket carry and have done a lot of it with a number of different guns. And spent a lot of money. The gun i kept going back to for pocket carry was a j frame. 360. With a bobbed hammer. Ive also run a kahr pm40 but it was to big for back pocket carry. And i did not like it for front pocket carry. Some do though.

What grip is on your LCP?

Hogue. They come with a special pin that is longer that holds the grip in place. Tap out the factory pin, remove the cover on the butt of the grip and slide the new grips over. The Hogue grip takes the pain away from shooting the LCP and makes it feel like a completely different gun. Cost was just over $10.

You guys were so generous with the pictures I figure I will return the favor. Found a local dealer that I had never been to with a lot of guns in stock and they let me handle EVERYTHING (they rocked!) Hes what I came home with. $633 out the door for everything in the picture except the target and a free 3 mount range membership! Took it home, cleaned it, and ran 100 rounds of American Eagle through it at 25 feet. Could not be happier for a 3" barrel!
