Whats the largest grip out there? I have a Magpul MIAD on one rifle and I'm using the large back strap.

I bought another MIAD for a 2nd rifle, and I got a dud grip- the hole for the selector spring was drilled too deep, so the selector did not stay in place.

I'm returning the bad MIAD, and I'm open to suggestions on other grips for giant paws. If nothing else I'll just exchange for another MIAD.

Thanks.

i have largish hands and i like my miad with the biggest backstrap. i have always hated the a2 grip and felt the ergo grip was good in depth frontstrap to backstrap but was too thin.

9X94 I have an Ergo grip that fills my big paws. Give them a look.

If you don't mind having tape on your gun, a 75 cent roll of electrical tape will give you the best grip, customized to your hand..I have big hands and it got to the point were I couldn't even hold my a2 grip without it hurting my fingers.. I use my ar for hunting and blasting cans, so it you have a tactical gun you may want to go with some rubber grip tape but as long as you don't use duct tape it will turn out okay lol, from a glance you can't even tell mine is taped, let me know if u wanna a pic of how i did it

I wear XL gloves and have the Ergo grip on my AR. Fits my hand great. Never tried the MIAD.

Same here, I didn't like the ERGO grip, the only other one I liked is the Hogue that my buddy has on his RRA...

I thought this one might be interesting but I fell in love with my MIAD and haven't looked back...

I have the hogue on mine and it is COMFY, not sure how it would fit you depending on how big ur hands are? im not a big guy but do have fairly large hands but they are skinny too so may not have the same grip u have? dunno but i def like my hogue, and it was cheap

I completely understand the dilemma. I wear 2X Gloves (sometimes 3X depending on the glove manufacturer).

Ergo grip makes a deluxe grip that is really thick bodied for those with large hands. I have both the standard Ergo grip and the deluxe. Both are really nice.

Biggest grip I know of, drawback is that it is RIGHT handed.

I wear an XL glove and they are usually on the small side. I found the Hogue grip extremely comfortable - it has a much larger circumference than the A2.

What I really like about the ergo with the mall ninja name is that it's very grippy like an eraser. It's also ambidextrous.

I have the Sierra Precision grip on both of my AR's as I have big hands too. One of my lowers has an ambidextrous selector switch so I had to remove a lot of material from the right side of the grip, and then hog out a groove with a Dremel to allow the switch to operate.

I'll second that, with the MIAD being a close second. The BG-17 puts my finger in the perfect position for the trigger.

All of my Noveske rifles came with Tango Down grips (and for good reason they are nice grips for sure). But after a couple carbine classes I found that an Ergo grip is just much more pleasing after a few hours of weapons training. The TD is definitely an improvement over the standard GI but the Ergo yielded less fatigue overall. I think I still have a few Tango Downs in the drawer. I seem to be collecting them.

I've got a big grip I'll send you if you want. I think it's made by Tapco, and it's too big for my hands.

PM me if you want it.

I feel like the new BCM grip looks like it will be decently large. I certainly haven't handled one.

I have med-large sized hands (probably even small compared to some AR users) and I use the MIAD with the 'L' backstrap and feel like it should be considered more of a mid-sized grip.
My M4gery has lots of stuff hanging off of at the moment and it's getting very front heavy. I feel like a larger pistol grip gives me better control of the rifle. I had switched back to the Houge for a while, but it's just tiny (front to back, has a lil' extra girth on the sides/palm swells). If I get another it will be the Tango Down, which appears decently sized.
