View Full Version : Glock 36 magazines
Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket, high capacity magazine for the 36?
Or, are there any high cap magazines from other models that will work in the 36 with it's slim grip?
I purchased this gun as my CCW and love it.
I would like to try to get a couple of high cap magazines to put in the truck though.
Thanks.
Not that I no of ,six is all she wrote.

Nope.
Six-rounders are all you've got.
Put a couple of spares in there and you're good to go.
Great gun. Enjoy it and relax!
Thank you!

Hello kegger, welcome to Glock Talk. :welcome:
The only magazine extension for the G36 that I've come across is a +1 option such as the Pearce PG-36 (http://www.pearcegrip.com/Products/GLOCK/PG-36). Having never tested them myself (live fire or drop tests), I can't personally vouch for the reliability or durability of the extension, but there is this option.
Thanks GRT45!
I did purchase a couple of the Pearce +1s.
So far so good, they work like they're supposed to.
No feed issues or malfunctions for me yet.

Welcome to GT.
That's why I carry two spares. ;)
Those short, slim mags make for super-quick reloads.
They fit very nicely in a pocket.
Also, because they are single-stack they are extremely secure. If dropped, the rounds stay in place.
Some folks will say that for only 6 rounds you may as well carry a revolver.
To each his own, but I would far rather reload under pressure with a small magazine than a speed-loader.

The way I have it figured, I'd like to own two spare magazines with a capacity of ten rounds, used exclusively for reloads. I will use the original magazine of 6 rounds for carry. If I cannot find an extended magazine that will carry ten rounds (that makes them Canada legal although I cannot carry in Canada) then I will just add the Pearce +1 extensions and call it a day at 7 rounds on the reload. Hopefully Pearce will come out with a +2 at some point. That would be a good thing as I am not overly concerned about the size of my reload magazines.
If you carry 'hot' then you have 7 rounds onboard with the original Glock magazine and 7 rounds onboard for each of your 'reload magazines'.
Again, I sure wish I could find a ten round magazine, regardless of size, for reloads. But am happy with the size with the 6 rounder when carrying the gun deeply concealed.
Now to add lazer assist.... it's going to be either Laserlyte recoil replacement or those funny rear sights that include a 3 mw. laser on one side. Or both?
Going to try one of those B2tactical holsters for casual concealed carry and one of those deep pocket over my privates holsters for deep concealment, but will not carry 'hot' in a soft holster. I have seen the results of an ND personally and it just is not worth the risk.
