I need to buy a cheap holder / holster / cover for my G27.
Does not need to be able to attach to person.
I have a serpa already. What I am looking for is a holster
that I can place the G27 in and then place inside a gunsafe in my auto. I dont want it just put it in the safe with trigger exposed. Know where I can get a cheap one?

The Glock Sport/Combat holster is only about 15 bucks...
I use mine for nightstand duty...for the same reasons as you are looking for....cover trigger!

Works ok for OWB duty as well...

Local sporting goods section, blackhawk or uncle mikes pocket holster $10-15, or get another serpa and let it sit without belt or paddle or other attachments on it($25ish).

Uncle Mike's #4

Google it for best online price or pick it up at someplace like Academy for less than $10.

My LGS has a box of used/cheap holsters to choose from. I picked up a car holster for 5 bucks. But for 15 bucks you can get the Glock and actually have something you can wear.

I'll provide a second recommendation for the Glock Sport/Combat holster. It's specific to the platform, surprisingly effective, and quite inexpensive. The polymer in excess to your needs can be easily removed by cutting.

No problem, I didn't know your price range. I've seen some pretty decent nylon holsters at gun shows for $10 and less. I've actually got a couple for guns I can't find anything else for.

Can you turn it upside down and shake it

I found a couple of great holsters on eBay last week. A nylon iwb for my P95 and a level III safariland for my G21. Lots of cool stuff and it's easy to narrow your search. Under 15.00 each.

The Blackhawk nylon Inside-The-Pants size 5 should work fine. Uncle Mike's makes an identical holster, their size is 12.

Both holsters come in two versions, one is open top with no retention strap and the other has a velcro retention strap. The open top doesn't have very good retention, if you held it upside down and shook it the gun would fall out. I've never used the retention strap version.

But this is what I would suggest for a cheap "holster" for going into the safe. No worry about moisture with this one.

Picked up a few for 10 bucks from CTD , they hold the gun and a extra mag. I use them to put in my range bag and keep the guns from rubbing. They are butt ugly and large size, have used them for glocks, 1911, ruger p series, SW 629 they all fit it.

I also say the Glock sport/combat holster. I cut the sides down closer to the gun and put a little lanyard hole in the bottom. It's like the MIC but covers some of the slide. $15

I was using and carrying a Kahr PM9 with an original Vanguard. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a T&E version, so I didn't buy it. The new VanGuard 2 fit my G34 so well that I went out and bought a G19 to use for a carry gun. Now I carry both the G19 and Kahr PM9 using a Vanguard. I would really like to see one of the new molded versions for the Kahr.

Glock sport is a good holster. MIC isn't a holster. Uncle Mike's isn't adequate for carry. All will work well enough for use in a safe. Your best bet would be to get a glock sport holster, something that would fit your storage need, but that you could actually use to carry the gun, should you decide to do that. In your post (#14), you quoted another poster who was also suggesting a Glock Holster.

If I worked for them I would have tried to get them to make one for my Kahr, that would have saved the money it cost me to buy another Glock, not that I'm complaining about that situation.

If you go over to Raven's facebook page you can follow what the status is for these as far as presales go. Not really any insider information or all that hard to figure out, in fact they have several thousand people who are following them and any of them would have been able to post about this new product, that is where I got the picture I posted here, from their facebook page.

Sport/Combat holster makes the most sense in my opinion. You could cut off the belt loops on the holster if you wanted to cut down on the size. They are super cheap and have great (but not TOO much) retention and they completely cover the trigger guard and even cover the openings on the sides near the mag release.

I do know and have met some of the guys at Raven. I am very good friends with and used to work for the guy who owns the business next to them, thatís how I came about getting one of the VanGuard 2s before they were on sale to everyone else. If I worked for them I would have tried to get them to make one for my Kahr, that would have saved the money it cost me to buy another Glock, not that I'm complaining about that situation itís not necessarily a bad thing.

Others may not agree but I happen to like a nice looking finished product that looks the same every time as opposed to a custom handmade piece that looks different with its own unique look for each part, not all shapers of kydex are created equal and none of them a capable of making a repeatedly good looking part like the new VanGuard from Raven.

Well, thanks for posting a product that I cant get for another 4-5 months. I like the looks of it. Maybe I will order one sometime in the future but I need one asap. No mention on site how to pre-order, nor does it say they make one for glocks. FB page is a cluster ******.

Well, you could always do it the "old fashioned way" and simply put in the time and effort to search and find what you are looking for that is available immediately.
That way, you won't have to be so put upon by suggestions that don't measure up.

While the sport combat holster is a cost effective solution, it's not the best for in vehicle safe storage as delivered. Even if you trim the belt loops off, you need a lanyard or mount of some type to remove the holster from the gun when pulling it from the safe. Otherwise, it will require two hands to remove the gun from the safe and un-holster it. A MIC type trigger guard only requires a one hand draw. Not a deal breaker, but something to think about.

That is a good point about the lanyard.
I, however, would only store it in safe when I absolutely need to frequent a business that does not allow concealment. I would place it in safe, do my business, and then when I come back I would immediately remove it from safe and put back on my hip in its holster. The only reason I bought the mic was to avoid AD, not for carry purposes. There may be an occasional instance that I may forget to remove from safe and put on hip. Having the mic holster, should in theory, prevent AD during auto accident.
I purposely try to avoid all businesses that dont allow concealment.

GunMate makes a number of cheap nylon holsters and when I used to own a micro pocket pistol I bought a belt slide model with a retention strap.

I sold the pocket pistol and decided to do some quick surgery on the bottom stitching to accommodate other pistols. As luck would have it I cut just the right amount and now I have a cheap belt holster with great cant that fits the two compact and one sub-compact pistols I own.

I think I paid $7 for the GunMate. If you don't like how it fits take an Exacto knife/blade and perform your own surgery. Not a lot to lose and in my case I gained a lot since the retention strap has proved itself many times in the woods while bouncing around on a 4X4 off-road vehicle.

The next cheapest holster is the Glock Sport/Combat. I have one of those also and it's worth every penny.
