I did the obligatory search and really found nothing.

For those of you that carry while riding what is your preferred set-up...

Definitely a nice rig. Can the weapon be positioned vertical instead of horizontal?

I guess there are many options depending on what you carry.

Usually mine is appendix carry and I ride with jacket, gloves, and helmet.

Sometimes it's a maxpedition bag kept in top box.

Other times it is a KelTec in front pocket.

G26, ATGATT, Goldwing and KLR650.

I usually have a tank bag on the KLR but not on the Goldwing (covered in Tupperware and no place to put it).

Mine carry's horizontal. There are other Galco rigs that carry vertical.

PF9 or LCP in right breast pocket (left handed) of my jacket. I have several jackets from summer mesh to winter insulated and all have a perfect size pocket. Legal with a CWP in SC. No hard luggage on my bike and carrying in a tank bag is by definition not legal as it's not permenantly attached to the vehicle. No problem to transport unloaded firearm in a tank bag. Be sure to check your State laws.

Typically I carry my handguns while riding a motorcycle the same way I carry when riding in a car, walking, etc. Why would I change my carry method just because I'm riding a bike? I'm going to be getting off of it at some point, right?

The one concession I've made to riding as far as carry method options, though, is that I've had the inside zippered breast pocket of my old leather riding jacket replaced with one made of leather ... and the last couple of new leather vests I had made I ordered with the "holster pocket" option offered by a local leather shop who still makes custom riding leather. Might as well make carrying one of my J-frames a bit handier, for those times I'm not carrying another type of handgun. ;)

I spend a lot of time walking around one or another of the beach towns when I ride over the hill, and I want to be able to remain armed in the same manner(s) I use when walking around any other place once I'm off the bike.

I have always rode on the street. Years ago I was having the fork seals replaced on a Honda Sabre. I had a meeting to go to. The mechanic working on my bike thee me the key to his KLR 650. I had quite a bit of fun on that bike.

Just about the same as when riding in a car or walking except I place the holster mear the 3:30 position to make the gun/holster a little less visible in case my vest comes open.
G-27 or Kimber Ultra CDPII in an IWB holster and /or a Kel-Tec .32 in a pocket holster.

ATGATT - full face HJC helmet, perforated leather jacket with S&W 340PD in right outside pocket on a '91 Kawasaki 750 Vulcan while in Florida. While in NY ATGATT on a Honda 750 Shadow ACE except no friggin' gun 'cause I'm not a NY resident. In AZ ATGATT with the S&W 340PD but this time NO BIKE 'cause I haven't got a trailer to take one of the bikes and I'm usually with my wife and the dogs!

I have lots of different handgun options, but my favorite for motorcycle carry is my Keltec P3AT. The reason is, because lots of my rides start off sunny, but the weather can quickly change. I don't worry about the cheap plastic Keltec even if I don't maintain it for days on a road trip.
Also, because of its size, I can carry it easily in an accessible pocket, and it is small enough that I don't have to worry too much about landing on it if I crash.
My rides have been Ducati's on the track, I had a Multistrada for the street, but sold it for a GS. I also have a 450 enduro.

That is the holster that I use for everyday carry, but it does not work with my hip armor at all...

Here is an inexpensive one that I found on Amazon.

Yea. I can understand that. Never thought about it. I always thought about ankle holster for in the summer time.

On my bike a pocket holster and a G26. I wear a ballistic mid-length jacket so under the jacket you can,t reach it without taking the jacket off. So pocket carry is best. My bike is a 2011 BMWR1200RT and it has a tank glove box that locks. So there I keep a full size auto like a G17 or Sig 226 9mm. Pistols can break your bones if you go down.

CTAC, same as always. I have no illusions of shooting from a moving bike so I don't have a special motorcycle carry. I can pretty easily draw even with my jacket and gloves on once I get off the bike however.

typically i carry my p238 in my bellyband while riding. Ill prolly have it cinched a little lower than usual if riding to give more retention. Im confident it wont go anywhere normally, but it makes me feel more secure to have it a little lower with putting a little more pressure on it.

Same same, no intention of shooting from a moving bike. With my gear I cannot wear a IWB holster, so that is the reason for the shoulder holster thought process...

Sometimes Kel-Tec P3AT in a jacket or vest pocket. Sometimes Walther PPK/S in an ankle holster or IWB; sometimes a Glock 27 IWB, sometimes a J frame or 2 in a Miami classic (I'd don't have an ammo pouch for it, just right and left holsters).

I usually carry a bigger gun in a OWB holster or shoulder holster when not riding, but I go for different ones riding to fit my jacket or vest and stay concealed. The only time I wear my Dr. Marten rigger boots is riding and my PPK/S in an ankle holster fits in the top, so that's nearly the only time I use and ankle holster.

I just carry as I do any other time for the most part. I have OWB with either 26, 27 or XD40 sc in it. If its really hot I may have a j frame in my pocket.

I see you have a taller windshield on it and a different pipe. Did you change just the pipe, or did you change the header as well? Corbin saddle?

Mine is %100 stock right now. It runs way to quiet for it's power. I want to go with a Yoshi pipe, headers and power commander when I get the extra cash again. I will be looking for stronger low and mid range power increase.

Before I bought it, I was going to get a Kawasaki ZX12R. My wife hated being on the back of the ZX12. The Bandit worked out as the perfect in between.

I have the HoleShot stage 2 kit

and the 14" slip-on (stock header)

http://www.holeshot.com/Bandit_1250/1250slipons.html

Runs like a scalded cat and sounds fantastic.

I agree though - the stock pipe made it sound like a sewing machine. I rode it on the Dragon when I first got it and the photographers couldn't even hear me coming and didn't start taking pics until I was already past them... :steamed:
