View Full Version : Take a Look at This Beautiful Rifle
Picked up this Cal .30 M1, a Springfield Armory 1955 model, Collector's Grade from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. She's a real beauty.

It sure is a beautiful rifle. Mine is an old Winchester mutt. :crying: But I still love it.
Congrats on your new M-1!

Very nice. I have a "Collector" Grade 1943 (July) Springfield Armory M1 Garand that I bought a few years ago from an individual in Illinois. It even came with a SA M1905E bayonet dated 1908 that is a cutdown version (UF&H) with the "knife" tip.

I've heard of the CMP, and that you can get a M1. How does it work, and what's required? I would love to be with a program that gave me an M1.

Awesome! I'd be happy with a rack grade in fair condition. I've been wanting a Garand.

They don't just give it. You have to be part of an associated shooting group, like GSSF, I believe. Then, check prices and availability for what you want.
