Is the insurance offered by the NRA to protect your firearms a scam? I sure think it is and here is why.

I rely solely on my own insurance policy to cover my guns.

You've got to be kidding. Just like any other insurance policy, if you DON'T read it and DON'T fulfill your obligations why would they pay off. I have yet to hear 1 VALID reason for someone claiming they were not treated fairly. If you don't activate the policy, how in the hell can you CLAIM it's a scam. The guy in that vidio is a complete and TOTAL dumb a_ _ !!!

I'm not a prude, and I'm not offended by the captions in the video, but I know plenty of people who would be and you should at least warn people that the video isn't safe for "family". Personally, I would remove the captions as I don't think they benefit anything and take away from any "cause" you might be an advocate for.

I am afraid I don't have a "cause." I simply say what I want about what I want. I don't cater to anyone...and so far it seems to really be working.

The maker of this video cites some pretty stupid "facts" for why NRA coverage is no good. He uses (1)anecdotal information from unconfirmed sources (2) the characters in the anecdotes did not follow the procedures required by the insurance carrier to fulfill a claim.

This is very much like saying that all CCW holders are murderers in waiting because one CCW holder commits a "bad shoot".

This guy is clueless on how to build a STRONG argument for/against something.

So you are defending the fact that their insurance is cut-rate as far as coverage goes and that it is priced at 10 times the going rate. That seems like a good bargain to you? You seem to be blindly defending a poor position. Why would that be?

the fact that their insurance is cut-rate as far as coverage goes
This was COMPLETELY unsubstantiated in the video.

and that it is priced at 10 times the going rate.
For the maker of the video, perhaps.

I know that when I had a rider on my homeowner's insurance for my firearms (via State Farm), they wanted a schedule (list) of all firearms by make, model, and SN. I don't want some minion at the insurance company having that information, thank you very much.

Additionally, if the arm was valued over a certain amount (that was not that high BTW), they wanted a formal appraisal of each arm. What a PITA!!

NRA insurance is less expensive and better than what most if not all home owner ins companies offer.

This is true and some insurance companies frown on the ownership of firearms, and certain types of dogs. Some companies will cancel your policy.

It's bad manners to put a link up in a forum where people don't expect captions regarding penetration. As a parent, I figured you would understand that. Now that it's been explained to you, you still don't get it. If I'm ever in a restaurant and people say the things you post in your video where my kids can hear it, they're going to get locked up.

If you want people to be considerate of your interests, you should be respectful of theirs.

All too typical of pp, and just one of the many reasons they are no longer welcome at several other forums.

Scam denotes something illegal or fraud.

The NRA is not doing this.

My suggestion, take the video down, saying the NRA is participating in a scam is not correct.

He's a bit of a drama queen. Search for "carnival hates orphans".

Posting that video with the obscene comments IS a violation of Glock Talk's TOS.

I highly recommend you remove the video. The disgusting, childish, overlaying written comments do not belong on any firearms related forum. Period.
