Picked up my new Colt LE6920 today, and I get it. The Colt just feels "right".

The Daniel Defense is going up for sale.

I never got the Colt thing until today. I get it.

Curious of the reason why you like the Colt over the DD. I love my Colt, and have never handled a DD, so was just wondering.

Didn't you just buy the DD?

Best,

Yeah, but I'm catching flak at home with the wife. :embarrassed:

I don't know. It just feels different in the grip and I sorta like the carry handle and I love the Rogers stock.

The pony stamp is cool, too.

Yeah, but I'm catching flak at home with the wife.

It happens...

I'm perfectly happy with my DD XV EZ, but I've never shot a Colt. Parted / sold my Spikes rifle to fund a LaRue OBR in 7.62 - just about there. :super grin:

You made a great decision. And I agree with the Rogers stock; it is very well made and lighter than the MOE.

Good luck with that Colt.

Nice. Congrats, I agree with your opinion on the Rogers stock. Love mine on my 6720.

LOL at you. You are a gun petter. You had DD and loved it; sold it. You had an Arsenal and loved it; sold it. You buy a interarms AK (might have the wrong maker on this one) you love it; sold it in a week. You get a new DD you love it; going to sell it (less than a month?). Before you ever lay your hands on you new Colt you are going to trade it for an Arsenal.

You don't like shooting you like losing money.

Oh yah how much you want for the DD? I am not above taking advantage of you. :)

Guess I need to get out and shoot other brand ARs. I've only shot a few other brands like Bushmaster and ok, I think it's just Bushmaster. But I have shot a few different models of them. Back to the point I couldn't really tell much difference from my Colt. Yeah the weight is a little different but I contributed that to the owner's setup being different than mine. But I'm still sticking to my Colt.

I love Colts, carried mine on duty, etc etc, etc but that said, DD does good work.

Even working for another (even higher-end) manufacturer for quite some time, we never bashed their stuff, they do good work.

let us know how it runs. Mine has had so many issues that I stopped carrying it for patrol use. Just lost my faith in it. It is a safe queen now.

Still have one 6920, but got rid of my other Colts and replaced them with BCM midlengths. Colts are nice, but the BCM's are nicer.

I'm begging. Don't flame me, but I have to sell one of these rifles. It looks like the Colt is more desirable. My wife will not even let me consider a bike this summer if I don't. Plus, she wants new furniture and I have put that off for too long.

I'll take the beatings. Be gentle.

Yes, DD is lifetime. I hate to do this, but To keep peace and persuade my wife into a bike, I have to.

Dude....seriously.....

Just drive down the road with your wallet in your hand and hang it up-side-down out your car window as you drive. That will be an easier and less public manner in which to throw money out the window.

Restless,
Im just curious, but did you not know about the bike and wife's furniture a week ago when you bought the second gun?

Good luck with your decision. They both seem to be great guns. Not sure you can go wrong with keeping either of them.

Save some money and get a Huffy from K-Mart, Not a Trek, Raleigh, Cannondale Fuji or some other high end bike. That should save you money.

And DPMS and Olympic etc are just as good as Colt/DD. My friend who fired one once said so.

To me a carbine feels like a carbine. You can always put a carry handle and rogers stock on the DD and then you have the same thing.

Meh, I'm selling it. I need to free up some funds for other ventures. The DD is fine.

Would actually shooting them both to see which one you like be out of the question? Call me crazy but I always shoot rifles to make a decision if I like them.

If he shoots either one of the AR's they won't be unfired and would be worth less.

What a weird thread.

I don't feel a difference in the two. I have both. I also service a pile of Colts at work on the regular and some of them are a POS.
