Actually I think the cobra is a 2.5 inch I found only one like it on gunbroker and it had a buy it now for $899
That sounds slightly high on the Trooper.
Yeah a touch high, $500-$600 should be right. For the price asked it should be mint.
The local gun pawn has one in the $525 range that is in used but good condition. It also has a Python with rubber grips in used but good shape for $75 more than price you are being asked to pay for a Trooper.

ended up passing on both they weren't exactly what I was looking for, but you just hardly see colts on the used market in any kind of good shape around here.

That's a hell of a price on a good condition Python.

Too high. I paid $525 for a Trooper MkIII in excellent shape (95%+). However, I'd buy a SW K- or L-frame before I'd buy a Trooper MkIII or anything MkIII again. I bought the gun just for giggles and I was on a Colt kick.

I'd hit it!!!

Man, they've went up. I had an 8", Nickel back in '86 that I paid $325 for. Wish I still had it but I traded it in on a Ruger Redhawk in 44Mag. :crying:
I like the Trooper MKIII quite a bit, but that price should come down at least $50-$100 unless its mint.

How much is $325 1986 time is worth nowadays?

Saw it yesterday for $749.00. Outside looked fine, didn't do an inspection or anything. Grips have been replaced with Pachmyers. Still sitting there next to a Trooper.
