"Daugaard said the law would result in people being detained while law enforcement officials determined whether they should be allowed to carry a weapon."

Huh?

Sorta like they do for OC, right?

Article is just a bunch of excuses, just go to AZ or AK or VT or WY and you can refute most of what was said. Governor must be a liberal. Certainly a republican governor wouldn't veto a bill passed by both republican houses would he?

Probably the most anti-gun governor in the state's history. One signature away from Consitutional carry and some of the worst excuses ever. We already have a good permit system? LOL LOL

While it sucks they didn't get the so called "constitutional carry" I think they should try again with a much better bill than that.

Looks like they do need to clean up the language in the bill
so that there is some kind of process to let the honest law abiding
citizen legally carry, and not give that privilege to just anyone
over 18 with a D.L.

Only the criminals won. Everything about that discussion involved criminal and their rights and only a couple of issues with law abiding citizens and they even got that part wrong.
