Looks like a damn nice build. The ONLY thing I'd knock you for is the ASAP and MS3. Invest in a quality 2-point sling and mounts instead.

Thanks. Why the no-go on the MS3?

Single point slings are not that great. In fact, I think they're crap, and that's after running an ASAP and MS2 for a year. As a single point, it gives you no support or stabilization for offhand shooting, it flops around when it's hanging on the sling (often leading to a whack in the junk), and gets tangled up easily. The MS2 didn't work well as a 2-point, either, and just wasn't comfortable. Plus, the ASAP is noisy as all hell and drove me nuts.
Look at a Blue Force Gear VCAS sling or a Viking Tactics VTAC sling. I've switched back to the VTAC padded sling I bought 3 or so years ago, and I won't go back to a single point.
There are several options for adding QD sling sockets to your stock and hardguards, and that will make adding a VCAS or VTAC sling a lot simpler.

Yeah, I heard the MS2 had some issues. Thanks for the input.
Very nice rifle, got it right the first time!

The MS2 I had was well made, and worked very well as a single-point sling. The problem lies in the concept of a single point sling, though.
Very nice, enjoy the rifle and tell us how it shoots....
I love single point mounted slings.
Nice build.

Darn nice carbine, very well thought out! Congrats Hokie'
Slings are VERY subjective, what works for one may not for another.
What did the build cost ya? Congrats by the way, looks good

I have a ASAP and MS2 sling. Love them both. It is nice because the MS2 can function as both a single a double point sling. Gives you the choice on the fly. I have shot for many years with the dual point sling and would never knock it. Just my .02

Very nice looking carbine and you can't go wrong with a BCM. Congrats!

i agree. not a fan of a single point sling. sure, its awesome for the range and running and gunning, but not so much if you need to carry it 24/7 and deal with it in ANY situation

By the way... thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate it. Definitely did some recon for a while contemplating the purchase and it came down to DD or BCM. Sort of a win-win type of thing. Hope to get out this weekend or next to run it through it's paces with a buddy that just ordered a SCAR this week.

 I gotta stop reading this while drinking.

Excellent! Gives you a chance to try both, and you'll have a solid 2-point sling if/when you decide the MS3 isn't for you.

Trust me, having your own rifle whack you in the junk while it's hanging on a sling SUCKS.

Not even going to go the MS3 route. Going to run the VCAS with an IWC QD sling mount.

Yes, it will. I prefer the VTAC, but that's pure personal preference. That VCAS will treat you well.
Did I miss your investment cost somewhere in your post? So how much did this all cost and how much time did you spend assembling? thanks

I work in the industry and paid (much) less than the retail of the build... which is about $1,350ish direct from BCM, ($1600ish with the Surefire...which I already had) and 3 PMAGs.
Build time was like 30 minutes maybe.
