View Full Version : Browning BLR
Anybody with any experience with this lever gun?
Looking at the BLR in .223.
I had one in 22-250. MOA capable with the right load. I had one in .358 Winchester. Kicked like the proverbial mule. I like 'em.

I had one and loved the way handling. Never grouped much better than 3" inch- but it all fairness I do not try any other ammo other than hornady. It was 7mm-08

I have one in 358 Win and really like the handling. Accuracy tends to be right at 1.5" at 100 yards with handloads.

Those have the great advantage of being able to chamber pointed bullets. With tube mag rifles you are stuck with 30-30, 45-70, 35 Rem, 44 mag etc. Of course those are fine calibers also, but have some limitations.

I have one in .257 Roberts. It's light, handy and accurate enough for my needs but I find that I don't shoot it much.
