Just ordered another BCM 14.5" middy lightweight upper to go on a Rainier arms zombie lower for the fun factor and because my wife is always bagging on the zombie thing so I ordered one just to bug the old nag :tongueout:

Anyways I have everything else picked out and just looking for ideas? Thinking about the battle comp 1.5" any better ones for it?

The BC1.5 is a VERY solid choice. Finally got to try one out on a friend's 14.5" gun, and I was quite impressed. Nearly as much compensation as a Surefire MB556k brake, but with a lot less blast.

How do those compare to the stock A2 that came on my gun? Is it really worth upgrading if on limited funds?

Flash is pretty comparable, recoil reduction on the BC is pretty darn impressive, and does a great job of keeping muzzle rise to a bare minimum. Up to you to decide if it's worth over $100 to you.

I have used a Smith Vortex G6, Noveske KX3 and now a SF 556-212A. Well, depending on the application.

Direct connect to a SF can.

I apologize for my post that really didn't say much. I was feeding my 6 week old boy while momma slept.

Definatly reduced recoil and muzzle rise. One thing I noticed is my follow up shots are faster. Is it training or because of BC?

I had installed it a few days prior to a departmentlly funded and put on tactical carbine class. We shot 600+ rounds.

I noticed the reduced rise and recoil.

My beat partner and I were online next to eachother. He had swapped out his Triple Tap for the BC.

The one thing was concussion. I felt his and he felt mine. I had a huge headache at the end of the day.

The instructors on our line remarked that there was a definate increase in concussion.

At first I thought it was due to just a long day but I had worn my Peltor 6s'.

I ditched them and bought some MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X's with gel upgrade. Next class I went through I had no headaches.

I also use a BC 1.5 on a DD and BCM 14.5, both LW. The BCs work great.
