I asked someone yesterday why this recent shooting in FL was getting so much attention. There are plenty of other incidents of violence that don't get more than local news coverage.

I will say, I haven't been following this story, so all I know is that a LEO stepped down and there are people protesting something.

Only hate crimes get national attention.

For it to be considered a hate crime the victim must be black or hispanic,
and the perpetrator or bad guy must be white.

Any other type of crime just isn't worthy of national attention.
It's real simple, when you think about it.
