I am not a threadjumper. :fist:
I am an inadvertent deliverer of narrative in a random location due to unforseen effects of superposition. :tongueout:

Captured recoil spring! :ack:

I didnt know the durn thing was on the loose! :dunno:

It ain't.

It's merely rod-guided, full-length (aka, FLGR).

HTH :patriot:

PS: They do make a fifty.

Generally, when I see a hex-head fastener, I think captured. A full-length guide rod doesn't need to be screwed, no? As always, I could be wrong.

Besides, a captured recoil spring on a 1911 deprives us of the joy of occasionally launching the spring cap across the room. :crying:

Generally speaking, a one-piece FLGR does not require any screwing.

However, a two-piece FLGR − like the one in the picture − does.
