If there are six witnesses why are none of their statements in the report? Have their actual statements been released?

Nothing 100% clear on that video but if some one asked me if I thought the man in that video just got his head slammed into the concrete in a violent fight I would have to say no. :dunno:

I think it will sway more people away from his story than towards it.

Video was not clear but at one point a LEO did look at the back of his head and as he walked with his back to the camera there did appeared to be something on the back of his head.

In the police report it was noted that Zimmerman was treated by EMS? at the crime scene for injury to nose and back of head. So if they did a good job he should appear bloody on arrival at the PD.

The video is typical surveillance quality, that is details are not very clear. I just think as it goes public it is not going to support his side of the story. He just does not appear to be a guy beaten down so to speak. The court of public opinion is not going to treat him well I would guess.

SOP for us is that if fire and medics get called to our scene and the person declines a ride in the ambo they will clean them up first before leaving. It stems from us asking every time to clean up people who are going to jail because the jail nurse gets pissy when you bring people who "look bad." I have had to argue with nurses over sratches on an arrestees hands that were done bleeding but still had blood on them.

Life is not the movies in a true knock down drag out fight happens and one or both people involved are injured to the point of looking in need of hospital care they are probably well past the point of putting up much resistance. There are people able to push past the point through training and conditioning sure but I doubt that ether Martin or Zimmerman are of that caliber so the injuries that Zimmerman had may very well have been enough to make him feel like his life was threatened. Just a guess but very few people are able to be John McClane and I am positive Zimmerman is not one of them.

Getting your butt kicked is hard work and painful.

Very true. Take a look at boxers after a 10 or 15 round fight. Sure they have bruises and swelling but they have been going at it for 30-45 minutes.

Most of the case I deal with where people have been knocked the **** out they have maybe swelling above the eye or at a cheek or a laceration. And those were people knocked out the **** out. They were in dreamland they got hammered so hard.

Most fights where the particpants can stand after the fact you might see some redness that goes away in a few hours. Maybe some scratches that heal up in a few days. Dirt on clothes. Really it isn't much more than a schoolyard fight by adults.

There have been plenty of times where I have arrested people for ADW and there are no real injuries on the victim but I have great witness statements from univolved third parties that see the suspect using the victim's head like a soccer ball.

To be honest most people suck at fighting and it thankfully shows in the end result. If more people knew how to fight we would have far more beating deaths than gun deaths.

All this may give you an inkling of why I tend to rely on the criminal justice system to determine guilt in criminal cases and not the fervid imaginations of the race-obsessed media.

Nice placement of the ABC News logo.... Anyone think that was on purpose?
