I have an older gen 2 G20, is it safe to shoot Underwood in this gun ? I emailed Kevin, but he said he didn't have much experience with gen 2. He also recommended Lone Wolf barrels if I need to make a change.
If there is a problem with the older barrels and full power ammunition, shouldn't Glock be willing to take care of the problem ?

I just had to buy a kkm barrel for my gen 2 g20. I was getting huge brass buldge with my handloads. 9.8 of 800x and 180xtps. So bad I stopped shooting them. Now with the kkm and the same loads the brass looks perfect. What a difference! My g20 was built in 94 I believe.

I think mine was built around the same time. Do you have the problem with Underwood ?

No. I haven't tried the underwood. I did try the factory Winchester silvertip 175s out of the factory barrel and the buldge wasn't nearly as bad as my reloads. But there was still a good buldge. The case support is pretty bad from my factory barrel. I'm loving my new kkm

I emailed Glock, they said the gen 2 G20 is safe for all factory ammunition within SAAMI specs. Good enuf for me.
It will be fine. Just check your brass, you will see pressure signs, just make sure they arent near catastrophic...
I have a Gen 2 from 91 and have never had a problem with it. The barrel is no different than my gen3 G20sf.
