The moral fabric of our society is unraveling.

I wonder if any of these agents had received any benefit by the usurper-in-chief being in power, i.e. he had certain agents promoted, prestigious job assignments made, schedules manipulated, etc.

What could potentially happen when a Secret Service agent is put in a position to be blackmailed?

In addition if it were hypothetically legal in Columbia it would still manifest conduct that would be illegal in the US. Any candidate for USSS or any other fed agency who admits to engaging in conduct in another country that is a major no no in the US can forget about getting hired. its a simple principle. You are a person of character wherever you go

Compared to holder’s gun running and contributing to the murder of a federal agent this is no big deal, right? The standards were dropped to rock bottom when this administration was elected.

It’s the Chicago way.

I understand this. However, 5 military and 11 secret service were suspended over this. Prostitution is a legal activity in Columbia.

We have reached the point where open homosexuality is ok for the military and gov law enforcement but renting a few legal hookers isn't?

Last I checked, it was made a crime for American citizens to travel over seas to participate in the sex industry. It was designed that way to keep pedophiles from finding a loop hole for their actividies.

SS on Presidential detail can't compromise themselves like that.

Imagine for a moment that it was a setup and someone had photos of the agents with the women and offered to keep them from their wives and employer if they did a simple, harmless favor......not in Columbia, but at some future event.

Bingo. Its not so much the act itself, as the leverage that is the problem.

Unless they were supposed to be on duty when it happened, of course.

I understand and agree that the ss may not be allowed to compromise themselves in any manner and that their action could do just that.

My point was more that the same arguement was used against allowing gays in the military, that their sexual behavior could be used to compromise them in some manner. In this situation we also have 5 military in the same situation as the ss, engaging in a legal sexual transaction. I just see some irony here.

Difference is the potential compromise only exists if being gay in the military is prohibited. Once its allowed, there's no blackmail potential.

Married agents can still be blackmailed over legal consensual sexual encounters with hookers. There's still very real potential of coercion to keep it covered up.

.Worked for a company that started requiring receipts for lunches < $5.00 for expenses. The per diem allowed much more than that, so one result was that people stopped going to fast food and started going to more expensive restaurants for lunch.

The other thing that happened was one guy I know stapled an empty pizza box to his expense report...

Because using prostitutes is against gov't policy for Trafficking in Persons:
