I only have one Glock. A gen 3 G27.
But with six barrels in three calibers, I've got a little collection of mags - LOL.
I just bought two more G33 mags last week.
So my current total is Nineteen.
What's your magic number?

We set a goal to have enough 45ACP mags for our two G30SF pistols so that we rarely need to reload mags at the range. The actual number and capacity type is not for a public Internet forum. Let's just say, after we load them all and pack them in a range bag for the trip to the firing range, we first say a little prayer that we won't have an auto accident and be forced to explain them all to a nice LEO. Fortunately for us, neither I nor my girlfriend look like we belong to a Mexican drug cartel. :)

Far more than I can count. Multiple calibers, multiple sizes. It's the weakest link in the system, so I have extras. Some for the range with orange baseplates. Some for real work. Always rotated in and out of service, to allow the springs to recover (I know, it's not necessary and you have a pistol from 1903 that stayed fully loaded for over a hundred years and the magazine was just fine, but I like to rotate through my magazines).

A&G Grips (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=12&CAT=24) or XGRIP (http://x-grips.com/products/glock-19-23/) make a grip extension that slips over a G17 mag to fill the gap when loaded in a G19 pistol.

I've got five mags, one gun, the G26.
3 stock 10 rounders.
1 G19 mag.
1 G17 mag.
AKA: NOT ENOUGH!

I think I'm good on the ten rounders. I carry only one ten rounder at a time with G19 mag as backup. I want to stock up on as many g17 mags as I can and put the +2 OEM baseplate on the 17 mag. Also, I'd like to get a heap of Arredondo mag extensions (+6) for some 17 rounders, so I can have 23+1! The baby glock is sooooo flexible!

Zero since I don't own a glock yet, but I'm tempted to get a 10rd Glock 19 mag both because I'm 99.99% sure that's what I'll end up buying as my first gun and because I need the loading practice. The money will be made back quickly in saved range time not spent fumbling with rounds.

Edit: Wish there was something like the holster library for mags, for those of us who don't have the corresponding gun but want to practice on a specific sized mag (wouldn't need separate ones for each type just each size to make practicing easier).

I simply try to have enough to carry, the same amount for spares to rotate, and a couple more, for each glock. Then, if you shoot alot or competitively, some longer mags, and some extras. I once was told that a good rule of thumb, is the cost of the gun in mags, the cost of the gun in good quality sd ammo, and the cost of the gun in range ammo, and for other firearms -- cost of gun in optics or accessories or whatever. Not my idea, just sharing what some folks use as a guide....

Yep. Ever since the bad old days of the AWB, when 13 shot G21 mags were going for 100 bucks and up, I have picked up a few magazines here and there since the ban expired in '04. You never know when the idiots in DC will try to enact another ban. Then see how far your 2 mags per weapon will get you.

The magazines have different characteristics that allow one to differentiate them. Magazines 1-4 are preban. The NFML (all preban) have the rounded cut at the top, the pre 1994 FML has the rectangular cut at the top instead of the newer angled cut.

Not enough, yet.

Currently have 3 G23 mags, with two more due to arrive tomorrow. A couple each in 22rd and 31rd.

I want to add a second G23 (+2 mags), and add 5 or so G22 mags. I think 7+5+2+2, plus a spare G23, would keep me set up for life.

Yeah me too, and enough magazines for each gun to have a rotation that statistically reduces significantly the odds of having a defective one in the gun when it's needed most.

I have 6 magazines for my 19, 3 for my 26 (which can use the 19 mags too) and 3 for my 23. I am not Rambo and don't expect to be in an extended firefight, and take good care of my magazines, so I think I'm good for the moment. I do have a few more magazines on order just in case something actually comes of this nonsense in Congress.

I visited the Glock mothership in Smyrna yesterday and a bunch of folks were asking about magazines. The armorers actually laughed. "All that we know is that Austria is producing magazines. We do not expect to see them here anytime soon." The Glock factory doesn't sell anything except night sights. (which is what I was there for) There is no gift shop, there is no swag. You sit and wait in an empty room while they work on your guns, there isn't even anything on the walls.

The Glock factory is an interesting place. I've lived 20 minutes away for over 7 years now, and have always been curious about it. I have been on military bases with lighter security. It has as much visible security as the CDC, maybe more. It is clearly not a place for tomfoolery. The place is BUSY. Everyone I met was very friendly, but the overall vibe was orderly and serious. No frills. No big signs or promotional materials anywhere. Pretty much what you would expect from Glock.

There is a large, active construction site across the road from the factory, with a bridge that connects it to the existing campus. Glock is obviously expanding further.
